Handwriting Deciphering & Recognition / can someone help me with this please?
« on: Saturday 16 March 19 16:49 GMT (UK)  »
I have been looking at this census for many years and still cant fathom out the place of birth for lines 1 and 3 . I can read denbighshire as the county on both but Line 1 has been transcribed as Banwold and line 3 as LLora . I think line 3 is probably Llay with the old spelling of Llai or possibly Lloc but this is in flintshire.
Many thanks in advance

Staffordshire / West Bromwich workhouse records
« on: Thursday 14 February 19 16:40 GMT (UK)  »
Hello  :)
I have located the death certificate and burial records for my 4x g grandfather Edward Walker who died 30th April 1845 in what looks like Lambeths inst which I am thinking is a workhouse infirmary as he died one day after being crushed by a flywheel at work aged 26. He was buried in Christ Church , West Bromwich on April 4 th after an inquest. Gruesome I know but I have no idea where he originates from and was hoping to locate any records from his stay here to break down this particular brick wall. I have his marriage in Christleton in Chester from 1844 and a home address of Park Lane Tipton from his sons birth certificate in February 1845.
I am told he may have been been of scottish origin ( family lore) but cannot find anything else......Any help gratefully appreciated in advance

« on: Wednesday 28 December 11 18:49 GMT (UK)  »
Hello everyone,
Could this photo of 2 sisters Mary and Ruth be restored and cleaned please? Its in bad condition but seems to be a decent scan of it - I can get a better scan if needed from the person who sent it to me.
They are my husbands cousins whose family emigrated to USA about 1908 and never returned
Many thanks,
Alison

Hi everyone,
I wonder if some one could clean up this postcard of my mother in law as a toddler with her father - it has water damage and is a bit fuzzy - no need for colour thank you
Many thanks to you in anticipation  :)

Worcestershire / Where is Brundley Green?
« on: Tuesday 30 March 10 11:51 BST (UK)  »
My G G Grandmother Mary Brookes (b 1816) stated consistently on census that she was from Brundley Green in Worcestershire but I cannot seem to locate it anywhere. It did cross my mind that she may have been saying Brindley Heath but I cannot find that either! She married Phillip Reichard in St Marylebone London (St Mary in Bryanstone Sq) in 1836 - her mother was present at the wedding and was called Sarah - all parties could sign their name. Any suggestions to help me knock down a brickwall would be gratefully received,
Many Thanks,
Alison

Hi,
I would really appreciate a tidy up and a colour if possible for a newly discovered long lost relative - my great grandfathers half brother with whom contact was lost around WW1. This photo was recently sent to me  and is a little worse for wear unfortunately but I'm sure something can be done to improve it hopefully

Free Photo Restoration & Date Old Photographs / A clean and colour if possible please
« on: Tuesday 20 October 09 18:24 BST (UK)  »
Hi all,

I would be really grateful if this photo taken about 1895 of 4 generations could be tidied up - my cousin has never seen an image of her grandmother as she died at age 33 leaving a very young family.

Many thanks,
Alison
