Channel Islands Lookup Requests / MORRIS Guernsey birth lookup
« on: Tuesday 07 June 11 01:58 BST (UK)  »
Could someone kindly lookup the birth details of my GGGrandfather Thomas Alexander Morris.  His parents were Bernard William Morris and Elizabeth Page (?).  They moved from London to Guernsey with their 2 eldest children William Bernard and Sarah Elizabeth between 1832-1836, when Thomas was born.  Between 1836-1841 the family then moved to Jersey.

If someone can help me with this family, both their short time in Guernsey and then in St Helier, Jersey it would be appreciated.

Channel Islands Lookup Requests / MORRIS St Helier Jersey lookup
« on: Tuesday 07 June 11 01:39 BST (UK)  »
Would it be possible for someone to look up whether Sarah Elizabeth Eastley (nee Morris) remarried after the death of her husband Thomas Coad Eastley or remained a widow on Jersey.  Sarah was born in Marylebone, London in about 1830 and moved with her parents Bernard William and Elizabeth to St Helier in about 1840.  Sarah married Thomas Eastley in about 1856 and Thomas died between 1861 - 1871.  On the 1871 census Sarah is shown as a widow offering furnished lodgings in St Helier.  I have no information of the daughter  of Sarah and Thomas Eastley Emile Elizabeth Eastley born June 1857.

Also, previously I had someone very kindly look up the death details of Elizabeth Morris (I believe nee Page).  What information do death records contain? - maiden name? where born?

Thanks for your help.

Lancashire / Jamieson / Jameson of Manchester or Salford
« on: Saturday 19 February 11 10:59 GMT (UK)  »
Wondering if anyone has information on William & Elizabeth Jamieson.  All I know is that they had a daughter Jane (my relative) christened in July 1809 in Manchester.  Jane married Thomas Rippon in about 1832 in Preston.  Jane died in Salford in March 1857.  Jane may have had a younger brother William, christened 25 Dec 1812 in Manchester.

Thanks

Durham / Walton of Stanhope
« on: Saturday 19 February 11 10:29 GMT (UK)  »
Does anyone have any information on the Walton family that lived in Stanhope from at least 1774 until at least 1797.

The details I have are as follows:

Catherine b. 1774
Joseph b. 1776
John b. 1780
Mary b. 1782
Christopher b. 1784
Thomas b. 1786
Hannah (or Jane) b. 1789 - my relative
Ann b. 1791
Elizabeth b. 1797

I thought that their parents were Christopher & Hannah Walton, but the birth date I have for Christopher is 1760, which makes him too young.

Any ideas?

Monmouthshire / Elfe of Chepstow
« on: Wednesday 06 October 10 06:10 BST (UK)  »
I'm trying to find out any information on William Elfe (born about 1787), surgeon who lived in Chepstow in 1851, his daughter Sophia (born about 1820) and William's parents and siblings.

He may have had a sister Ann born about 1791, and his parents could be Samuel and Ann.

All info appreciated

Wiltshire / Farmer of Aldbourne
« on: Saturday 07 August 10 13:54 BST (UK)  »
I'm trying to find out any information on Ann Farmer who I think was born in 1793 in Aldbourne.  She married William Charles Chandler in Aldbourne on 7 Nov. 1816 and had 9 children with him in Baydon.  I think Ann's parents were William and Ann Farmer, and Ann was their eldest child.

I would like to get more information on both William and Ann Farmer and their children.

Shropshire / Edward Hoggins & Ann Everall Wroxeter
« on: Sunday 27 June 10 02:58 BST (UK)  »
I am trying to find out any Edward Hoggins and Ann Everall and their children.  According to IGI Edward and Ann married 4 Nov 1793 in Wroxeter.  My relative Ann was born Jan 1800 in Wroxeter, and I think a John Hoggins was born in May 1796 in Wroxeter.

I was wondering whether there were any more children between 1793 and after 1800.  Hoggins is an unusual name but I haven't had any luck finding much on this family.

Any help would be appreciated.

Further information I have on Ann Hoggins is that she married William Sayer Price on 18 March 1824 in Atcham.

Shropshire / James Price and Mary Sayer of Atcham
« on: Saturday 26 June 10 00:47 BST (UK)  »
Looking for any information on James Price (b. about 1763 Berwick) and Mary Sayer (b. about 1767 Atcham) and their children.  I believe they had the following children which I have obtained from IGI details:
Thomas b. 1789 Great Ness
James b. 1790 Great Ness
Sarah b. 1792 Great Ness
William Sayer b. 1795 Atcham
John b. 1797 Atcham

I am directly related to William Sayer Price b. 1795.  He married Anne Hoggins in March 1824 in Atcham and they had the following children.

William Sayer b. about 1825 Atcham
Ann Sarah b. 1826 Atcham
John b. 1828 Atcham
Robert b. 1830 Atcham
Mary b. 1832 Atcham
John Hoggins b. 1835 Atcham
Walter b. 1837 Atcham
Gertrude Minerva b. 1839 Atcham
Agnes b. 1842 Atcham

William Sayer Price b. 1795 was a farmer of 226 acres until he died in 1861.  His son William Sayer Price b. 1825 did not stay on the farm and emigrated to Australia in the 1850s where he married and died.

Does anyone have any additional information on any of the above (except for my direct relative William Sayer Price).  In particular I am  very keen for information on the children of James Price and Mary Sayer.
