« on: Tuesday 01 July 08 15:45 BST (UK)  »
I have been looking for an age now to trace this relative. EDWIN CHAPMAN was the father of my Gr Gr Grandmother ELIZABETH. She married at Manchester Catherdral in 1852. His name is on her cert. It did not say deceased but as I can find no trace and nor can anyone else it seems, the suggestion was he was already dead when she married, although his job as a Finisher was on the cert too.

I have now been given the following info. But I cant trace it backwards to see if this is he!!!!

Can anyone help please???????  I would inagine the last one is the favourite, Unless he left the district.

Lancashire / IS THIS HER FAMILY AT LAST ??
« on: Friday 25 April 08 12:53 BST (UK)  »
I have been looking for so long for relatives of a family member to no avail. I had her fathers name from her Marriage Cert. Which I tried and tried to find but could not.

I have had contact from someone who has a family member. Same name Birth year ties in. The children of my relative have the same names as her relative.

Hope you can understand this as I am getting very hopeful.

The only thing is the name of the father is wrong. ???

Could there have been a mistake on the cert?

How do I check if this is the right family?

Nottinghamshire / Suicide ?????
« on: Friday 18 April 08 11:39 BST (UK)  »
In 1968 the body of a man was found on the Railway lines in Nottinghamshire.

He had walked up to I think the next village.
The gossip says that his clothes were found folded at the side of the track and he was naked. There were also I believe rumours of murder.

There was a short piece in the newspaper about his death.
His family refuse to speak of it.

Is there any way I can find if he took his own life or was it an accident.

Dublin / Irish Marriage lookup ???
« on: Thursday 20 March 08 20:33 GMT (UK)  »
Is it possible for anyone to look up a marriage for me?

The information I have is from the birth of a first child named Bernard Nash born in Dublin in 1880.
His parents are named as William Nash and Honora Hanlon Nash.

I am trying to trace the marriage of this couple.

Until I was given the info on Bernards birth details I thought his mother was named Norah Hanlon.

It now looks as though I am looking for a Nash /Nash marriage

All help appreciated.

Lancashire / Contacting an old Rootschatter??
« on: Monday 10 March 08 22:03 GMT (UK)  »
Any suggestions in 2005 I was on line a lot.

After I seemed to exhaust my search I went in a different direction.(naughty girl)

I came back recently to find that a family member of my Nash side had left a message.

Is it possible to contact her?? It seems she no longer comes on line.

She was CIP27 and her name was Liz.

What a calamity she could answer so many questions.

Please help. I have spent years looking for this one.

I have his daughters marriage cert. It names him and gives his job as a finisher.
She (Elizabeth was born 1831) was married to Samuel Harrison at Manchester Cathedral.
She was born in Manchester or Salford.

But I cannot find Edwin.

Where are you????????
