My elderly mother-in-law emigrated to New Zealand in 1951. She has recently been unwell and I have been trying to gather together some information and photos about people and places which she would remember from her life back in England.
Would it be possible for someone to email me a photo of a house, assuming it is still standing, at 6 Wentworth Close, Potters Bar? This was her home before she came to NZ.

US Lookup Requests / lookup please PRESTON

I have records for a man named John PRESTON but I can't work out if it is the same man or two different people.
He appears in the 1920 and 1930 census with his parents John and Henrietta living in Ansonia Ward 4, New Haven, Connecticut. There is also a record of a WW2 Army Enlistment for a John H Preston who enlisted in Hartford Connecticut on 16 Apr 1941. Could this be the same man?
I'm trying to find a US soldier who was stationed in New Zealand for a short time during 1943/44 probably serving with the 43rd division of the US Army. He called himself Harold Preston and was reportedly killed in October 1944 but I can't find a death record for him anywhere. Therefore I am now wondering if he was in fact John H Preston and the H stood for Harold. There were other Harold Prestons but they served in other areas of the world or died years later.
Would be grateful for some advice as I am new to US records.

Looking for any information regarding Harold Preston who died fighting with the US forces in the south Pacific in late 1944. Does anyone recognize this name? He was stationed in Auckland, New Zealand in early 1944.

Was there a workhouse or some other institution at 69 and 70 Wentworth Street, Tower Hamlets in the 1851 census? The ref no is HO 107 1543.
Also, can anyone help decipher the occupations of James and William Mills? Were they Pool Makers or Peal Makers?
