Australia / Thomas FARLEY b.1846 in Newcastle NSW - Married to Mary Ann LYNCH 1883

Greetings,
I need help with a difficult relative named Thomas Farley who lived around the Newcastle area of NSW, Australia. I think he was born in 1846. Unfortunately I have no idea when he died.
He was married to Mary Ann Lynch on the 16th of Jan, 1883 in Moggymill, NSW. Witnesses were John Farley & Lilias Mary Lynch. Parents are not listed on the marriage cert.
My Grannie told me his middle name was Michael but on several NSW BDM records for his children, it lists the initial as "P".
Children were Margaret (b.1885), Eliza (b.1887) & my g.grand mother Betsy (b.1895). There was a Thomas J, born 1891 but he died at birth.
Any help regarding Thomas or Mary Ann would be greatly appreciated!
