Lincolnshire Lookup Requests / John Bausor/Bauser/Bansor birth?
« on: Saturday 21 August 10 10:56 BST (UK)  »
Hi
I have traced my family back to a John Bausor/Bauser/Bansor (depending on the transription!!).  I have his marriage to Elizabeth Burrows on 28th Nove 1832 and a possible birth in 1813.  The 1851 census has him as Bauser and being born in Hamierd, Lincoln.  I have been unable to find this place.  I can only find him on the 1851 and 1871 census at the momet.  He tends to live in Newark.

Any help would be hugely appreciated!  A long standing family rumour was that the Bausors were from Germany but I am not sure having gone this far back with them and yet to find the German immigrant but my great grandmother had a 'European accent'.

Thanks

Europe / Bauser?
« on: Friday 15 January 10 18:39 GMT (UK)  »
I'm a bit stumped with a branch of my tree.
My grandfather's mother was Eva Bauser, her father (Harry) was born in Lancs and his parents (Joseph Bauser c1851) married in Warwickshire I believe.  Due to misspellings of Bauser (Bowker) I have had difficulty in tracing abck further.

We always had a 'hushed' talk of having German relatives from what I remember as a child.  Recently I made contact with a relative who remembers Eva when he was a boy and he grew up believing her family were from Eastern Europe due to her accent.

I have done a bit of background on the surname origin and it seems to link to Prussia/Germany.

Any advice on where to look/knowledge etc would be greatly appreciated.  I have run out of relatives to ask - why did I not do thi in my early 20's when everyone was alive?!!

Thanks

Lancashire / Bausor/Bauser help please
« on: Monday 16 November 09 19:22 GMT (UK)  »
Ayone with any links to this surname or any knowledge of the origins of this surname.  I believe there to be an Eastern European link.  Could it be an 'english' version of the surname?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Lancashire Lookup Requests / Bausor/Bauser help please
« on: Sunday 17 May 09 10:32 BST (UK)  »
Hi,

Could anyone help me with my Bausor's (Bauser) please.
I have got as far back as Joseph Bausor of Garston, Wavertree who was the husband of Elizabeth Bausor formerly Hill, father of Joseph Bausor born 4/9/1871.

Harry Bausor died in 1943.  He was the father of Eva Bausor, Husband of Amy Bausor (d1932).
Am new to the family tree building and seemed to hit a brick wall with the Bausors.  Not sure where else to look.

Thanks
Selena
