Norfolk Lookup Requests / look up please Bateson/Thinn -1841/1851/1861/1871/1891
« on: Saturday 18 October 08 09:55 BST (UK)  »
Can anyone help me please to trace:

George Bateson. Born 1828 Leziate, Norfolk
also
Maria Thinn (that's what it looks like). Born 1828 Gayton, Norfolk

They married at some point as I have found them in 1864, living in Canning Town Essex.
They have at least one daughter, Alice Jane Bateson. Born 1864 Canning Town Essex.
George is listed in 1864 as a shipyard labourer

I think they show up in 1881 still living in Canning Town Essex (listed as living alone)
Any help would be brilliant - thank you  :)

Leicestershire / Nathan Moore Syston Leicester
« on: Wednesday 20 June 07 10:34 BST (UK)  »
I am trying to find out about Nathan Moore. 1880 of Syston, can anyone help?

His father is either Nathan Moore. 1851 -mother Jane
/or/
Harry Moore. 1859-mother Charlotte.

but it is more likely to be Harry.  He had a sister Clara and other siblings.
He married in 1902 to Mary Ellen Barker and they lived at Brook St Syston.

If I can find Nathen (1880) living with sister Clara then I should be able to see which one is his father & mother - possibly on the 1901 census?  Can anyone help please.  Thank you, Vickyd

The Common Room / Help needed- 1891 look up - Nathan Moore/Mary Ellen Barker
« on: Tuesday 19 June 07 17:08 BST (UK)  »
Can anyone help please?

Looking for information on:
Mary Ellen Barker. B.1879? - Possibly Barrow Upon Soar, Leicestershire.  Married in 1902 to Nathan Moore.  Lived her married life at Brook St Syston Leicestershire, she had 4 children, Alma Barker 1899. Gladys Moore. 1903. Priscilla May Moore 1905 & Harry Moore. 1908.
ALSO
Nathan Moore. B.1880. Syston, Leicestershire.  We think Nathan's father was called Harry Moore. B.1859 and possibly his mother being Charlotte but that's a bit of guess work. He may have had a sister called Mabel too along with other siblings and we think he is the eldest of the children. Any information would be great, thank you, Vickyd  :)

I am trying to find any information relating to Nathan Moore. B.1880. and his wife Mary Ellen Barker. B.1879. please - both from Syston Leicestershire, I think the listing maybe under Barrow upon Soar. They married in December 1902.

I think Nathan's father was called Harry Moore. B.1859. and mother Charlotte B.1860. also from Brook St, Syston, Leicestershire. We think he had a younger sister called Mabel and quite a few younger siblings, Nathan was the eldest? If someone could find them on the 1891 census I would be very grateful. I know they always lived in Syston leicestershire.

Also if anyone can track down Harry Moor's father who we think was also called Nathan Moore.B. 1823. But that is only a guess.

We have no information on Mary Ellen Barker other than she lived at Brook St Syston all her married life.  She had 4 children - Alma Barker 1899, Gladys Moore 1903, Priscilla Moore 1905, Harry Moore 1908.

Thank you very much - Vickyd  :)

Hi everyone - can anyone help me with any information on the Fitzsimons/Fitzsimmons family from Ireland/Whitehaven/Manchester please?
What I have is:
Edward Fitzsimons. B.1816 Ireland, wife unknown. Living in Whitehaven/Arlecdon/Cumberland in 1881.
Two of his children are with him in Whitehaven in 1881 and they are:
Sarah Fitzsimons. B.Ireland 1855
Edward Fitzsimons. B.Whitehaven 1861
(there were probably more children who had already left home.)
Edward(1861) marries Mary Ann Scott in June 1881(after the census is taken)Whitehaven.
Edward & Mary Ann have 13 children - 10 girls& 3 boys.  Boys names are James, Edward & Joseph.  We think Joseph is the only son to have children. Joseph was born in Whitehaven in 1903 and marries Ellen Lawson.
As for the 10 girls we think that two went to Manchester and three went to Australia in the 1900/1920s. We assume that the rest stayed in Whitehaven but don't really know.
That's all the information that I have and I would be very grateful if anyone can tell me anything about this family. Thanking you, Vickyd  :)

Essex Completed Lookup Requests / Alice Bateson/Warren/Rooney
« on: Wednesday 28 September 05 17:46 BST (UK)  »
Can anyone help me please? :)
I am trying to track down my G.G granmother Alice Jane Bateson Later Alice Jane Warren and later still Alice Jane Rooney, born 1866 in Canning Town Essex.  She married a David Warren in 1882 in Essex, but between 1882 & 1894 David died leaving her a widow.  She shows up again in 1892 in Barrow in Furness Lancashire and marries again to a John Rooney in 1894.  Her daughter Annie Rooney was born in Canning Town in Essex but she must have moved back to Barrow as that is where she remained untill she died.  Her father's name was George Bateson and we think he was from Essex.  I cannot find any record of her after she married David Warren untill she shows up again 12 years later in Lancashire, a widow. Why did she move to Lancashire and why did she go back to Canning Town to give birth to Annie.  When did David Warren die too ????  These are all unanswered questions that I hope someone can help me with. :) Thanks, Vicky
