I wonder if anybody could help guide me to a contact person for more information  or records of the Bengal  Calcutta Free Masons from around 1900- 1921 as i have a lead which i would like to follow up on but really struggling where to start.

Im looking for a little help,Im researching the above chap and have found his death Cert in India died 24 March 1921 Calcutta India.
He was Born 1854 in France and possibly had a brother or sister ?
He had a Daughter born 1913 Dinah Enid Leblanc in India and Christened 26 Feb 1922 India and a wife named Victoria {no other information about her except she was lot younger than him}

could anybody help finding his Birth in France ? Any marriage ?? or any other information about him or his daughter.

Hi everyone im looking for a news article about a accident that happened in 1964 2nd may Joseph Dale was killed working near a bridge in possible Weston staffordshire or Rugeley road stone and a motorbike or car hit him and he was killed aged 45 yrs,I dont have a subscription for the Newspaper Archives so would be very greatfull if any kind person could look for me.

I wonder if somebody could help me find out a little more about George Simcock 52nd battallion light infantry number 66930.

He was also in the 20th R.batt Vl Corps 91014 stated he was a first class shot. or 11th Durham Light infantry 91014.

I have found his medal awards rolls 1914 - 1920 and also his medical card.

I have some notes of his Reg employment CPL George Simcock 91014.

Rifleman from 23.5.17 to 15.6.19
L/CPL from 16.6.19-24.9.19
CPL from 24.9.19

while going through some notes he left with bits of military papers he has handwritten down
 3rd army 1st Battle Somme St Quentin.
Adv on Picardy 2nd Battle Bapaume and Final Adv on Picardy.

I imagine his service records and pension records didnt survive as i cant find any.

What i would like to do is piece together his movements and battles from what little info i have sorry.

I wonder if anybody could help me with a mystery i have in a family tree i am working on the surname i am researching is Edge who are from the Kingsley area in Staffordshire.
My problem is the Surname Edge keeps changing to Hall on various documents the latest i have is a marriage certificate in 1934 which states Harry Edge Hall which is using both but the lady i am doing the tree for her maiden name is Edge and she had never noticed a Hall added to her farthers marriage certificate.
Her father was Born Harry Edge B.1911 yet on his marriage he added Hall to his surname ? Maybe one time in a family tree is understandable but his father was Born John Harvey Edge 1871 Cheadle.
But on the 1911 Census he is only John Hall born 1872 with other known family members.
On his Marriage certificate in 1899 it states his name as John Harvey Edge.
On the 1901 Census He is only John Hall.
1891 Census John Hall.
1881 John H Hall.

His mother is using Mary Edge on 1901 census but on the 1911 Census she is using Hall.
Mary,s Husband James is using Hall on the 1891 Census.
1881 Census Hall.
1871 Census Edge.
1861 Census Hall.
On their Marriage certificate in 1856 he is using Edge.
1841 Census Hall.

So it runs all through the family back to births in 1800,s sometimes using Edge Surname and sometimes using Hall for Births.

Any ideas anybody im going crazy trying to figure out whats going on ?
