Ayrshire / Archibald Fulton and Margaret Mcneily
« on: Wednesday 24 April 13 11:55 BST (UK)  »
Have been trying to find the marriage of these two. They had sons William, b Oct 8 1766, Archibald, b. Apr. 24 1764 and James, b. Nov 16 1761 all in Kilwinning.

William is my 3 times gr grandfather and have gathered a lot of info both forwards and backwards , but cant find the marriage between Archibald and Margaret.

Archibald Sr. was b 1733, son of James Fulton, ( his 2nd marriage) and Jean Lermont, in Kilmarnock.

Would appreciate any help in finding them.

Hoping to come in contacrt with decendents of Robert and Isabella Kilpatrick from Ayr, Scotland, who arrived in Aust, abt 1853. I have quite a lot of info about the first generation in Aust. but would be great to come in contact with living decendents.

Robert and Isabella settled in and around Ballarat NSW.

Isabella Fulton Kilpatrick was my gr gr grandmother Mary Fulton`s sister, and as I`m planning a trip down under next year, it would be great to be able to meet up with some "cousins"

Hertfordshire / Henry Rodwell b. 1895
« on: Wednesday 18 January 12 11:03 GMT (UK)  »
Would really like to find info about this man. His parents were James Rodwell and Elenor(Lizzie) he wa b in Chester, 1895, but the parents were back in Watford on both the 1901 and 1911 census. He had 2 sisters Nellie  and Alice Lizzie. Alice m. a George Longman 1926

Have all his famlies info, only Henry is missing. Have searched for both a death and marriage, so far nothing showed up.

Have a copy of his father`s will from 1948, where he, father James leaves all to his 3 children. So it looks like Henry was still living in 1948.

James was living at "Deva" Bushey,in 1948

Would really appreciate help in finding Henry.

Midlothian / Rose Lynch
« on: Friday 09 December 11 13:08 GMT (UK)  »
I`m trying to find any information about Rose Lynch. I believe she is sister to my ancestor James Lynch.

Rose was god mother to a baby Rose Lynch b Apr.12 1847, daughter of James Lynch and Ann Rooney.

Baby Rose ,I believe died young as there is no sign of her on any of the census I have for this family.

I`m hoping to be able to find info about the adult Rose, if she married etc. Also the possibility of finding where in Ireland she was born.

Keeping my fingers crossed and hoping someone can find anything about her.

 Thanks in advance.

Ayrshire / Fulton/ Dickie.
« on: Friday 28 October 11 14:01 BST (UK)  »
I really need help with this on.  Looking for the birth of a Margaret Fulton/Dickie The date I have is Sept 14 1818 ? I think in Kilwinning. She is the daughter of William Fulton and presumably Margaret Dickie.

I have been given information that an OPR record has Margaret Fulton`s name entered and then crossed out and Dickie written above

Have tried to find this on th OPR but so far nil.

If this is correct Margaret Fulton was born a few months after her parents married, Mar7 1818, The parents then had a son William and the daughter Isabel, after paternal grandmother (following the Scottish naming pattern) Why would they call the first born Margaret?

Can anybody help me here.. much appreciated.

George Craig m Janet Paterson, Apr 21 1811 Hamilton. It is possible Janet`s parents were Robert Paterson and Mary King, m Aug 5, 1781

Children..Isabella, b. 1814 have her death c. from 1855
               James, b May 12 1816
               Robert, b. Aug 26 1820
               George, b. Nov 16 1828

Is it safe to assume(never assume) that George Craig Sr. parents were a James and an Isabella?

Have not found a birth for a Mary, but there is a big gap between Robert b. 1820 and George ,b. 1828.

George, age 12, b. 1828 was living with Mary King on the 1841 census.

Would like to find the parents of George Sr. if at all possible.( James and Isabella?)

Regards.
