Hello All.

I'm still looking for   Home of Recovery  , Barrow upon soar Rothley.   Leicester

During world war one. My G G  Uncle was sent there after being in the war for over 3 years he was suffering from shell shock very bad. & was sent back to England from the front line.

Only just over 3 months later he committed suicide at the above home. I have the death certificate. His wife lived in London at the time. Yet i could not understand why he was sent  to Leicester. Maybe some one can shed some light ??

I would just like to find out abit about the home or building.  It could have been a workhouse & part being used as a hospital.

Is there any one who could please check any papers for that time for suicides it was feb 1919. I now live in Australia.

I would so much like to find out as  we are doing our family tree. & i feel i know so much about my uncle now. I am in the process of getting his name  commorated on the CWCG. as it had been left off in error. & his name was misspelt.

His name is Fredrick Charles BYOTT.

Can any one please help on this please my grandfathers brother who was in the war.
 Commited suicide at the Home of Recovery Barrow upon soar leicester. I have the death certificate. died on 7 th feb 1919. His name is Fredrick charles  BYOTT at the Home of recovery.

 Would like to try and find out where he is buired. Any help would be  really great . I now live in Australia from England  Thank you sandra. Would so much like to find his grave  as his name was not on the CWCG. as an error and is now in the works to get his name on there. Thank you
