Northamptonshire Lookup Requests / Northampton baptisms, TESTER, 1820s
« on: Thursday 23 July 09 12:50 BST (UK)  »
Dear all,

I am trying to track down baptismal info for these relatives:

Susan Tester b about 1823 Northamptonshire m 1846 St Seps, Northampton to Benjamin Cross

Elizabeth Tester b 1820s ?Northamptonshire m. 1858 Northampton

Emma Tester b about 1823 ?Northamptonshire m 1853 Northampton to William Wood

I'm sorry for the poor information on these people, but I'm hoping that as they all married in Northampton, they may have also been baptised there (they are three sisters) and if anyone could check this for me, I would be most grateful.

Best wishes,
Zoe

Hello all,

I am trying to establish if

Ann TESTER, m. John Cox 11 Jun 1823, Saint Margaret, Leicester
Lydia TESTER m. John Green 25 Sep 1827, Saint Margaret, Leicester
Mary TESTER m. Mattias Brown 5 Jan 1829, Saint Margaret, Leicester

are related to "my" Testers -

Parents:
Jonathan Tester and Mary White (of Bedfordshire)
Siblings:
John, Jabez and Amos

John married Martha Robinson 30 March 1818 St Mary, Leicester
Jabez married Ann Fairchild 8 June 1831 in the parish of Saint Margaret
Amos married Matilda Lynes 19 Nov 1830 in Saint Margaret

If anyone could look up these Testers ie Ann, Lydia, and Mary for their birth records (presumable early 1800s given when they got married) and let me know their parentage (or any other information), I would be most grateful.

Many thanks in anticipation,

Zoe

Surrey Completed Look up Requests / Clapham Grammar School , John Tester
« on: Thursday 11 June 09 13:43 BST (UK)  »
Hello all,

I have an elusive GGGG-Grandfather, John Tester, whom family lore states taught at Clapham Grammar School sometime before 1869. Can anyone point me to an archive which might contain a list of staff at the school? We believe John was born about 1800, so I think the window we're looking at is 1820-1869. In case it helps, John's wife was a Martha Robinson.

Many thanks in anticipation,
Zoe
