Dear collective wisdom,

Would anyone have any thoughts on the attached details from a 1895 will.

This man was a labourer in Glasgow and I wish to find out more about him. Would he have been a moneylender? How did people start out as one - where did they get the money to begin with etc.

Hi,

I am looking for information on Dorothy (Dolly) Annie Sayle nee Solly who married Norman Sayle in Deptford 1946. They had one daughter, Heather and lived in Bride.

I would be most grateful for any information anyone may have. I am fairly sure that Dorothy died in 1966 but apart from that I know nothing else.

I am looking for an entry in the 1901 Census for a Robert John Kerr (b. Scotland) who was 31 yrs old and an engineer - possibly in Princes Dock, Liverpool at the time of the Census.

Hi there,

Please would it be possible for some kind soul to look up a death record for me?

Her name was Julia Gourley (born Edmonds), born in Ireland around 1840 +/- 5 yrs, and I believe she died in York Ontario on 7th Sept 1916.

She may have been living with her son called Hugh?

Hi,

I may have a family link to the above ship which was sunk on 14th March, 1918 near Malta by a UC 54 captained by Heinrich XXXVII Prinz zu Reuß.

Please could anyone point me in the direction of where I might find the crew list or the names of the two casualties, or indeed any info regarding the attack.

Would anyone be able to guide me in the right direction with regards to the above gentleman. He was British and joined the CEF during WW1 - regimental number 414422, dob 3.3.1891.

Ideally I would like more details about his military service record.

Could anyone give me any information regarding a William b.1847c, d. 1907 and Hanora (Norah) nee McGrath b. 1849c who lived in Lisgariff. They married in 1872 and had nine children, one of whom was a daughter Annie b. 1884c.
