Lincolnshire / Where is Osenby?

Someone i have is listed, on the 1861 census, as being born in Osenby, Lincs.

But i couldnt find it on google, or GENUKI. There's only 7 other ppl listed as being born in Osbenby, Lincs in the same census, and one other listed in Osenby P of Topeliffe, Yorkshire.

Hoping someone knows where Osenby is, or maybe if its a spelling error. The pseron i was after had Falkingham, listed as her birth on two previous census' too.

Looking for John Edwards born abt.1842 Llanrhaiadr / Gyffylliog / Ruthin

In the 1871 census he's listed as born in Llanrhaiadr, then another it's Gyffylliog, then in 1901 it's Ruthin...

In 1871 he was listed as a Railway Carrier.

His wifes name was Ellen/Ellenor, but they might not have been married in 1861, i'm not sure.

Can anyone find him among all the John Edwards'?

Hi,

Can someone help me with this placename? It is the place of birth listed on a birth certificate in 1884.

Tyn-y-Celyn, Llanfair, R.S.D.

Where is this? Which County is it in? Does Tyn-y-Celyn mean anything in welsh? And what does RSD stand for? Radnorshire?

Googling around it seems that Tyn-y-Celyn can be the name of a farms or houses, what does it mean in English?

Hi,

Can anyone find Norman Nicholson/Nicolson - b: abt.1820, living in the parish of Snizort, on the Isle of Skye?
In 1850 he married Ann Cameron in Snizort. No idea of parents or siblings. He may not be on the 1851 Census because he emmigrated to Canada sometime around 1851.

Technical Help / ..Need help with Legacy 5.0

I hate how the program memorizes places...

I'm trying to add NI for Northern Ireland, but it will always come out as Ni

Now i'm trying to add MB for Manitoba, but it comes out as Mb everytime..

I've had problems with other things it's memorized but this is just too much right now... any suggestions? Anyway to turn off the abilility to 'memorize' things, or anticipate what i'm going to type when i've only typed in 2 letters....

Wales / ..Need Help with Welsh Names..

All we've got on my Grandma's brothers & sisters are 'nicknames'.. Grandma married my Grandpa in Ruthin, Wales after WWII and we've lost track of these people, we don't even have their 'real' first names.. $:-\$

Can someone help me out with what their birth names might have been. The spelling is just from word of mouth, i don't know how Grandma would have spelt them..

Dad thinks 'Nin' would have been something like Eilwen.. and 'Gwen' would have had a longer name.. 'Tydd' sounds like 'tidd' not Ted .. but i guess it could be just Ted (Edward), but Dad doesn't think so.

Hi,

Please can anyone look for this couple on the 1861 Census? They are my GGG Grand-parents.

George Norman - b: abt.1800
Lucy Norman - b: abt.1809-1814 Mosterton, Dorset

George might not turn up, because he died abt 1861. I hope he turns up because i don't know where abouts he was born. If he doesn't i wonder where & who Lucy would have been living with.

Hi,
I'm looking for this family. The dates might not be all that close, because nothing really makes sense when i try to find these ppl on the FreeBMD.

Edward was supposed to have drowned when he was 29 y/o, in his 6th year of marriage.. i don't have a date of birth/death for him, only that he was supposed to have been born in Hampshire.

I hope atleast his wife, Martha, and children show up in the 1851 Census or he should turn up, married/single, in the 1841 census.
