London and Middlesex / Marriage lookup help please.
« on: Tuesday 05 August 08 11:30 BST (UK)  »
I don't have much to go on with my lost marriage but someone might see something I have missed.
Looking for a marriage for Alfred HOMEWOOD to Olive May ?? Sorry no surname in Middlesex.  I have done a surname search but come up a blank for HOMEWOOD married to a lady with that christian name.
The only thing I can think of is she was a second wife and married later on than I thought of (1930's)
I know it's a bit thin on info, but anything will be very much appreciated.
Many thanks.  SUE.

Devon / Plymouth Workhouse 1861
« on: Friday 02 May 08 09:10 BST (UK)  »
I have George Baker b1852 and John Baker b1855. Both born in Australia. They are both in Plymouth SCHOOL Workhouse in 1861  and are Paupers. I thought if they were orphans it would say orphans and not paupers.
Can anyone look for me to see if there are any other Baker's  (male or female) in a different Plymouth Workhouse in 1861 that I could possibly use as a lead to who these boys parents were.
I do have another thread for these boys but the family we thought they belonged to are not their family.

Any help would be lovely. Many thanks.  SUE.
