Denbighshire Lookup Requests / Roberts of Wrexham 1900's
« on: Tuesday 27 October 15 11:50 GMT (UK)  »
Hi

I'm trying to trace someone who moved to then got married in Wrexham in 1921, but I'm having difficulty tracing their life after that and finding out what happened to their children. I have no clue with Wrexham records or resources, I can't even find their death cert for sure, and don't even know where they are likely to be buried etc. I'd really like to be able to fill in as many blanks with any information I can. Any help would be gratefully received. They lived on Stansty Road

Thanks

Sarah

Perthshire / Longforgan burials
« on: Friday 11 March 11 18:07 GMT (UK)  »
I have just found a burial record on Scotlands People for my ancestor Christian Jam(i)eson who was married to a Charles Robertson. She was buried 7/12/1845 and her husband was already deceased. I just wondered if anybody had access to any MI's of if anybody lives locally could possibly have a look for any further information which might be there.

Thanks for reading  ;D

Angus (Forfarshire) / vanishing Arbroath family please help
« on: Thursday 24 February 11 17:37 GMT (UK)  »
Hello all,

I am praying somebody more knowledgeable in Scottish history can please help me. I have an ancestor called George Cruickshanks who was born abt 1821 in Inverkeillor, Forfarshire. He had two illegitimate children with my other ancestor (Jessie Ferrier). The first was Georgina Cruickshanks born abt 1852 (can't find suitable birth record) and the second was James born 1st Nov 1856 (who later died in 1866) both born in Arbroath. I have no trouble tracing Georgina or her mother but I can only locate George on the 1841 & 1851 where he is living with his mother Margaret who is from Aberlemno and born around 1780. Census info Source Citation: Parish: Arbroath Inverbrothock; ED: 5; Page:  12; Line: 1415; Roll:  ; Year: 1841. and Source Citation: Parish: St Vigeans; ED: 8; Page:  6; Line: 31; Roll: 644; Year: 1851.

I know that, that is my George as it states fathers address on James's birth cert which is where George was living in 1841 & 1851. I can't find a suitable death for George or for his mother Margaret and it's driving me up the wall and I can't find them on subsequent census returns they have just vanished. I am probably missing something obvious but I keep going round in circles!

Hope this makes sense any help would be gratefully received

« on: Thursday 03 February 11 10:48 GMT (UK)  »
Hello all,

I am hoping somebody can help me, I have an ancestor who lived in Bryn Eglwys, I know he married his 2nd wife 25/4/1812 but am pretty sure he must have been married before so would be grateful if somebody could look for me please. His name was David Evans and I know he later lived in Dio in Bryneglwys and was a gentleman/farmer. I would also be very grateful if you could look for anymore children of David, I have all the ones born after his marriage to Mary Williams of Henllan.

Many thanks

Hi all

I know there are websites which I can access to discover who died in mining accidents but I am just wondering if there is anywhere or anyhow to access a miners employment record, or just who worked in each mine?

Thanks
