Buteshire / Isabella Blcak

Looking for information on Isabella Black
(my 5 times great grandmother) who was born on Arran Buteshire Scotland circa 1785 , she "married" John McKinnon/McKennon and they had a daughter
Helen Black McKinnon also born on Arran circa 1808.
Helen married Michael Findlay in Irvine in 1829 and when Michael died she erected a gravestone in the Old Parish Church Irvine graveyard , which included that her father John died in October 1810 in Chelsea aged 24, giving him an approximate dob as 1786 also her mother Isabella in 1862 !
on Isabella's death certificate (she died in Irvine) it named John McKennon her husband, (deceased ) and he was a soldier !
I have searched scotlandspeople for a marriage for John and Isabella and a birth certificate for allof them , but no luck , I have also searched for John McKinnon(McKennon but unsure of which one is him !
so for the long story but any help would be appreciated !

Family History Beginners Board / Chelsea Pensioner Look Up Please

I am trying to seek further information on my four times great grandfather John McKennon !
according to a headstone erected by his daughter Helen McKennon in Irvine Ayrshire Scotland , he died in Chelsea in October 1810 aged 24, giving him an estimated dob of 1786 .
he was "married" to Isabella Black McKinnon and on her death certificate , she was the widow of John McKinnon , soldier , she was born in Arran, Buteshire, Scotland .
their daughter Helen was born in 1808 on the Isle of Arran Bute Scotland .
this is the only information I have !
so "soldier" and dying in Chelsea suggests he was a Chelsea Pensioner but this has not been confirmed !
I have checked National Archives but the correct John McKInnon/McKennon doesnt seem to be there
any help would be gratefully appreciated !

dont know if this is the right place to post or not !!

Antrim / still searching for my great grand father Robert McCrory

I am looking for any information regarding my paternal great grandfather
this is what I know , I have his marriage certificate and death certificates .
his name Robert McCrory (dob 1844 according to age in death certificate) , he married Maggie Adair on 26.6.1874, place Ballycarry Presbyterian Church in the parish of Templecorran (sp?) .
I know quite a bit about her and her family !
he is a Militiaman and his address is Ballymena !
his fathers name is William (Labourer)
they had 2 children born in Ireland before they left, Arthur Adair in 26.5.1875 and Elizabeth in or around 1878.
they are in Fife in Scotland in the 1881 census ,Arthur has died by the time this census was taken .
from Roberts death certificate I have his mothers name as Ellen Nicol !
I have searched for bmds for him and his parents in Northern Ireland but found nothing !

are there Militia records available anywhere ??
its only information regarding him or his parents in Ireland I require .

South Africa / Help when did my great aunt arrive in South Africa ?

greetings fellow genies...

after many years I have decided to try and find out (again) when my great aunt Margaret Alexander McCrory immigrated to South Africa (Pietermaritzburg) !
she was born in Irvine Ayrshire Scotland on 6th September in 1887 , but in some documents it says 1889 .
she married Albert Coutts 30th September in 1910 , her name on the marriage certificate was Marguerita Alexandra Macrorie in Pietermaritzburg, Natal, South Africa, (gained from Familysearch) !
she worked at Greys Hospital in Pietermaritzburg as a nurse when she went to South Africa and lived with her older sister Nellie McCrory , but I dont know who arrived first.
but I know Nellie arrived in South Africa in 1900 as I found her arrival information on eggsa!
I have a lot of information regarding Maggies , (who was known to her SA family as Peggy) time in SA including children death and even her return trip to Scotland in May of 1911 to give birth to her twins , but sadly they both died in August .
she stayed in Scotland until 27th September when she sailed back to South Africa :-(
so when she went to SA is still a mystery at least to me , I feel I have exhausted my search using all different spelling possibilities !

any help would be greatly appreciated !

Europe / France - Stanley Joseph Kissick

trying to find out about my possible ancestor Stanley !
Joseph Kissick and Jean Boyd , were married in Northern Ireland in 1902 and moved to the Glasgow area of Scotland .
they had 2 children ,Cecelia born 1903 , William John born 1904 !
then I found a birth for Stanley Joseph Kissick born in the Glasgow area of Scotland , in fact there are 2 Stanleys ,one Stanley J born in Gorbals Glasgow but in 1933 , then Stanley Joseph also 1933 born in Springburn also an area of Glasgow....
but to see the birth certificate I need to order it from Scotlandspeople !
but I have since found out more information on a Stanley !
on the 18th October 1928 a Stanley Kissack ( born in 1933) occupation Bank Clerk departed Liverpool England to Marsaille France on Bibby Line ship called Yorkshire !
then I found a death for Stanley Joseph Kissick on Familysearch who died on December 22 1996 aged 63 in Antibes, Alpes-Maritimes, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, France !
do you think this Stanley could be the same Stanley ?
any help would be appreciated !
