Hello to you all
I'm trying to give some background to my family background for my narrative.
My family from 1658 lived in Kinnerley  and I assume they were farm labourers /cottagers.
I would really like to know something about the area around Kinnerley, I'm guessing the work was agricultural and somewhere in my memory I seem to remember one of the Bevans was a flax gatherer
Do any of you know the main crop in this area? Or, do any of you know of the whereabouts of some sort of map showing enclosures with the date. I don't want my narrative to be born, married, died etc etc.

Re Ralph Blundell of Ormskirk 1713-1777
Whilst catching up on family history I came across Captain Ralph Blundell. There are no sources given on Ancestry so I'm unwilling to use this person yet.  I have

But the info on Ancestry does not say whether Ralph was a sea captain or army.
I'm just hoping he wasn't part of the slave owning Blundells of Liverpool!!!!!

Hello,
I can't trace the death of Robert Harrison (mariner) from Liverpool.
He married Margaret Forest 17th May 1781 at St Anne Liverpool. They had two children Robert JNR  b 1780 and John b 1782.
Margaret remarried on 8th May 1785 to  Charles Towne  at St Peters Liverpool. The marriage register states she was a widow. Therefore her first husband Robert MUST have died between 1782 ( the birth of John) and 1785 (her marriage to Charles Towne).
Do any of you lovely people think he could have been lost at sea. Are there any lists of drowned sailors out there?

I have been searching all databases to find this death so now I'm reaching out to you.

I've had terrific help using SPRS Parish Records for Sedgley but these only go to 1684.
Does anyone know who holds the records post 1684?

Does anyone know when Alfred Street Lancaster was built?
I've contacted the Land Registry but they will take at least 5 days to give me an answer.
I have a feeling that Rootschatterers will be far quicker.
Any info at all will be so welcome.
