researching my family tree i come across the 1861 census and a reference to an embury haines who would have been born about 1851 in gloucestershire.the only problem is i cannot find any more about her no birth,marriage,census or death .any ideas where i should look next as  im stumped :( x

World War One / Where and when did he die?

can anyone help me with details on how they registered a death in ww1 .i have the death certificate of my relative stanley frederick haines, he died 21st oct 1916 in fort pit hospital,rochester but details on ancestry list him dying in france and flanders on 19th oct 1916,i thought that although he may have died in france its not registered till his body was back in england ,but on the death certificate it says that a samuel walley was present at his death in fort pitt hospital.any ideas about this ? thanks x

hi  was wondering if anyone had the resources to look up the marriage of my great grandad and great nan i believe it was in new york in the district of kings in either december or may of 1907 their names are gilbert haines and louisa emily hancock(sometimes she used emily louisa) i kinda of have sketchy info so any more info would be great thx

not sure im in the right place but here goes.im looking for a marriage between gilbert frances haines and louisa emily hancock i know they were in newyork in 1908 because i have the birth cert of their son who was born nov 3rd 1908 in new york,but have had a look for their marriage in new york but not found anything, has anyone got any resource that can help,i know they were not married when they arrived a year earlier and i wonder if they married after his birth or were married when they returned to the u.k but dont know the year they came back.any info would be great .

im looking for the date of death of stanley frederick haines he died in fort pitt hospital rochester and was buried on 24th 0ct 1916 i want to get his death cert but not sure how to get the numbers i need to order them any ideas please .

im looking for the deaths or just living in purton of frederick and winifred haines.their son died in the war and was buried in purton in late 1916,but they previously lived and have been found in wootton bassett in wiltshire on the census so im guessing they moved there ,so any info would be greatly appreciated .thanks

im looking for a branch of my family.a relation of mine called florence lilian haines born in 1874 married a mark dixon in brinkworth in 1897,they had two children percy born 1899 in swindon and francis in 1900,do these names ring a bell with anyone?
