I'm trying to find more solid info on the birth and the parents of the correct Thomas Hallam ,  the father to these children below.  I have an estimated birth and details from what I have been told.  He may have been a twin. I believe I may have found him in the 1871 Census, where he shows up, occupation... bricklayer,  with 3 of the children, so presumably married abt 1863- 67 . I understand he may have emigrated with the family around Feb 1874 at age 30 . Can someone please give me his correct birth details/ cert,  and his father and mothers details ? He was no doubt a Thomas as well.  I am stuck with so many Thomas Hallams. Not even sure of his marriage details.

New Zealand Completed Requests / Are you up for a challenge?
« on: Monday 06 August 12 22:26 BST (UK)  »
Hello Kiwi Girl,  I've been watching your postings for a while and see that your pretty good at this stuff. Wondering if you could help this kiwi guy rookie. If you have nothing better to do.  If you want to pass that's O.K. as well.

My fathers line is Cook. I'm trying to gain ANY info on any of his line.   I have my grandfathers brother, William Charles C  born abt 1901, in Western Super Mare, Somerset.   he came to N.Z. for a while but it seems took off. He may have left a wife and 3 kids...who are they?  read below..... from the Cambridge museum....

In 1933 Harold Keytes bought his farm in Te-Miro from the lands and surveys department. The farm had been advertised in the New Zealand Herald as 178 acres, no fencing, no water supply and ragwort infested having changed hands twelve times after the first world war.

One of it's owners was ....Bennet, and another .....WILLIAM COOK, brother of HURLSTONE whose family in 1995, were still farming in Maungakawa Road. WILLIAM was an ex British Navy man who, with his service endowment, settled until his wife and three children left him, when he abandoned the property and set sail for England. His navy influence is evident in the porthole windows featured in the homestead.

I have come to a wall with the Cooks, I have a tree on Ancestry.com and will invite you as a guest if it helps.

Can someone out there help please. I'm trying to find anything about John Oswald O'Dwyer ( may have changed to Dwyer ) born about 1852 ( I believe ) in Tipperary, Ireland,  died 14 Aug 1929 in Cambridge, New Zealand.
He was married in Guertmaker, Ireland to Margaret Corcoran. They had a Daughter Nora Ann ODwyer ( would like to know if there are other siblings )  Later married Eliza Vickers.
Nora born abt 1887 in Cambridge, New Zealand, and died abt 1950 in Kingseat Mental hospital in Auckland.

I am ignorant as to finding New Zealand records. Ancestry.ca is no help.
