The Common Room / Buriels - Peckham 1923 and 1950

Hi All
Not quite sure where to stick my request for advice/guidance/help?
Two ancestors gt grandmother and gt gt grandmother both died in Peckham but I am battling an infinate brickwall in trying to track down where they were buried.
Jessie Matilda Messervy died aged 85 on 20 Aug 1950 in Peckham (Gairloch Rd) and I am also intrigued in corset making history as according to 1911 census she was a corset maker
Lilby Myrtle Merrick (other first name variants are Sylby, Silby, Lily and as per her death certificate Sylvia) died from TB on 17 Aug 1923 aged 35 also in Peckham (I believe Gairloch Rd)
I have tried other sites and meet up with a big fat "unsuccessful search" and now I am thinking local churches, cemetaries and so on. The church where Lylby married was St Judes but has been demolished but did not take buriels. Not a Londoner myself so wondering if anyone has any pointers as to where I should be aiming my search please?
I am in and out on school run so will have answers to any questions if any as soon as I can attach myself to the PC
Thank you all in advance - these two ancestors are truly beneath my skin
