Hi,
I am hoping someone can find the parents of my GGG grandmother Elizabeth Havelock Widdrington. I have her in every census from 1851 onwards but can't find her anywhere in 1841, where fingers crossed she is living with her parents.
She married in 1849 at All Saints Church in Newcastle to Charles Wright. On the marriage certificate, where condition is 'spinster', she gives her fathers name as William Widdrington - occupation Pitman. However, on the birth certificate of her 2nd child Roger (1852), she gives her name as Elizabeth Havelock Wright formerly Gallon. So is she a Gallon or a Widdrington i'm wondering?
Census details
1851 Heaton High Pit - Elizabeth Wright - age 27 born Newcastle upon Tyne
1861 Old Fold Colliery Gateshead - Elizabeth Wright - age 38 born Northumberland All Saints
1871 Burradon - Elizabeth Wright - age 44 born Northumberland Heaton
1881 Hazlerigg - Elizabeth Write - age 54 born Newcastle Byker
1891 Hazlerigg - Elizabeth Wright - age 67 born Newcastle upon Tyne
1901 Hazlerigg/Camperdown - Elizabeth Wright - age 77 born Heaton Newcastle
regards
Jamie
