That would be good. My grama has just one memory of her grampa Ben and she was up at the house, he was down the drive standing in the garden calling come on kid,, what is what he always said to her, her mama was in the kitchen telling her you stay where you are, and very shortly after he died,, up on the hill. Or so the story goes.

I cant believe they charge you for that. I have called many cemetaries and they just give ya the info here,, one I called for my friend who her father died in a plane crash and they even went to the library and got a copy of the paper for me.
I may try and see if they will tell me  8) Who knows,, Is it just called the Rockwell Green Cemetery?

Thanks!!   :-*

I am not sure, as this does not belong to my family, what to do with it. I came across it at a antique sale and instead of leaving it there for a collector to stash away I bought it, to return it to a family that may have had one, lost one or what have you?

Any ideas

Somerset / Eliza PEARCE (married name ROBERTS)
« on: Friday 08 January 10 04:22 GMT (UK)  »
Eliza Pearce,,  born about June 1866,, married a John Roberts, had many kids, Alice Jane, Medford, Nancy (Annie),George, Thoams, William, Edith.. died about 1932 in Wellington.
Trying to find out John and Eliza parentage,,  we have looked and thought Eliza may have been from a Laura Pearce, no father listed but I am not to sure.
I have Eliza born in Somerset and dying there as well., John born is St Lancashire dying in Taunton.

Any help would be appreciated. That really is all I have, Thanks!

My grama was a young girl when Benjamin died and they lived at Rockwell Green. Is there a number where I can call to confirm this before I sent anyone out there. I did just get off the phone confirming it with my grammy but I dont want anyone to go out there for no reason.  Possibly a Rockwell Green Cemetery main office? I will try there in the morning as the time change here and there is crazy.. Thanks!!

My auntie was there about 6 years ago and she could still get to it. As I have never been there in my life, I am not sure but I am going to call and ask my grama.
My grama is the one that lived there and the address she gives is #2 Perry Elm Cottages. It is just one brick 2 story house. Grama said it was on a road, not down a driveway,,  my mom is going to phone my auntie after supper and see if she remembers the name of the road.
Now I am wondering also ,, she was telling me a story today about some lady who was very poor and promised her soul to the devil if he would not let her children starve. There was 2 cave like openings and was rumoured to be haunted,, living in this area have you ever heard the story? All the children believed it to be haunted and my grama had to go past it every day to school and her and her friends would run as fast as they could to get past the opening scared out of their witts..haha.

I have decided to do that last big stumper on here as well. This one is more difficult than the last no doubt.

Harriet Bailey sister to Ethel Jessie Bailey (Thomas) daughter to Charles and Harriet Bailey came over from England as well, she was born 1868 and that is all I know., I dont expect anyone can find anything, but thought I may as well try. After she came over, as far as we know, she didnt come to Alberta but stayed in Ontario...

night all :)
