Hello David.
Thank you for your replies.  I had a bit of a search on the burial site link you posted and found that there was a death of a Daniel Rowell on 29th January 1755 and subsequently found his marriage to a Mary Baley on 14th June 1754 both in Crowland.  This could be the correct Mary who according to the marriage banns was from Deeping Fen.  Mary then seemed to remarry James Aykins/Eakins in September 1755.  I am not sure if this is completely right but does seem to work dates wise although it would mean that she was married, widowed and remarried all within a period of just over a year. Do you think this could be feasible?
Kind regards
Sally

Thank you so much for your prompt reply.  I believe this to be the correct marriage and will now try to find out what Mary's maiden name was before she married a Rowell.  Do you have any advice on how I may go about this at all or is it simply trial and error?
Thanks again
Sally

I wonder if someone would kindly look up the above marriage please.  I would very much like to find out if the above marriage would be the correct one for my 5x G Grandfather who would have been born around 1730 to 1735.
I have a daughter for him and Mary, my 4x G Grandmother Rebecca born in 1757 who married James Fish.
I am trying to find out if the above marriage is the correct one and if so what is the maiden name of Mary? I am not sure whether she was single at the time of the marriage or a widow.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Kind regards
Sally

Westmeath / Marriage look up please 1835 Athlone
« on: Monday 28 July 14 18:47 BST (UK)  »
I wonder if anyone could kindly look at the marriage records for Athlone 29th September 1834 re the marriage of Maria Argue and John Berriman.  I would love to find out more information with regards to Maria as I have no idea who her father was or where they were from. John was originally from Gloucestershire and was a soldier in 14th Light Dragoons.
Any advice would be greatly received.
Thank you

Hello
I wonder if someone would kindly help me to find out if I have the right family.  I have an Elizabeth Pettit who married a James Hunt (marriage date 28th Nov 1683) at either Ixworth or Walsham le Willows.
I am trying to find out who her parents were, I believe them to be a Thomas Pettit and an Elizabeth Baggott.  I think she was born around 1659.  If anyone could please give me any information on this family I woud be most grateful.
I understand that this Pettit line may go back to the Pettit/Pettus family of Norwich Norfolk including the line of Sir Thomas Pettus who lived at Rackheath Hall in Norwich.
Any information would be greatly received.
Kind regards
Sally

Thank you for your reply.  Oh what a pain, I possibly won't be able to find out then whether there was a father or if they were both born out of wedlock.
Would anyone possibly be kind enough to have a look at the marriage details for Maria Chapman and Thomas Honeyball for 7th December 1829 to see who the witnesses are which may help me to find out more information?
Thank you in advance.
Kind regards
Sally

Hello
I wonder if someone could kindly assist me in finding information for the father of Maria Chapman who was married on the 7th December 1829 to Thomas Honeyball. I believe her mother to be Mary Ann Chapman but have no details of her father.  I have not been able to find her baptism although I believe that she has a sister called Charlotte who was baptised in Denston on 14th January 1814.
Her mother Mary Ann appears to be living in the same house as Maria and her husband in the 1841 census but seems to have been born outside of Suffolk, she then appears to die in 1844.
I would appreciate any help or advice to find any other members of family or indeed her mother's maiden name.
Thanking you in advance
Regards
Sally

Lanarkshire / Re: Look up please for birth in Glasgow in 1835

Thank you so much for all your kind replies.  I do have the details of Jemima's marriage in India and can trace my husband's tree from that date onwards.
I didn't realise that the records started so late, would there be baptism records available?
I do have a copy of John's military records which shows his period of service in the East Indies and his involvement in the battle which you refer to.
Thank you again

Lanarkshire / Look up please for birth in Glasgow in 1835
« on: Monday 02 December 13 19:00 GMT (UK)  »
Hello
I wonder if someone could kindly look up a birth for a Jemima Berriman which I believe was on the 15th November 1835 in Glasgow. I have been unsuccessful in finding the actual birth which I believe would be to a John Berriman and his wife Maria (Argue).  John was in the 14th Light Dragoons and came originally from Gloucestershire.  I believe he married his wife in Athlone Ireland and presume he was stationed in Glasgow at the time of Jemima's birth.  If anyone could possibly throw some light on this I would be most appreciative.
Kind regards
Sally
