Hi all,

One of my ancestors, John Parr (b1725) married a Joan Melhuish (B1730-35) in Crediton, Devon on the 25/8/1746. Does anybody have any information on the Melhuish family as i would love to go back further with this branch as i think it is an unusal name. Thanks

Just dug a little futher.

In the 1951 census, Thomas Ware is listed as living with Charlotte Ware and her husband Edward Pickering. He is listed as been a nephew. Meaning that he must be the child of Elizabeth.

Thanks for the replies.

I do not have a date of death for either William Ware(b1777) or Mary (b1782) and there is no info on them post 1841 census. However i do have the details of 4 of their children.

Elizabeth (b1811 in Hull)
Charlotte (b1820 in Hull) My GGG Grandmother
William (b1826 in Hull)
Thomas (b1833 in Hull)

Thanks

Rob

Hi all, need some help.

I am trying to trace the Ware family.

My GGG Grandmother Charlottle Ware was born in Myton, Hull in 1820, her parents were William Ware (b1777) and Mary (b1782, surname unknown) Their birth place is unknow, the 1841 census has their birthplace as Hull, but i dont believe this to be correct.

Charlotte's baptism was more than likley to be at the Holy Trinity church.

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Rob

Hi All.

After further digging it appears thats the Hockworth's do indeed appear on the 1871 census as OCKWORTH. It has Edward's wife Ann Heaton as been born in Sandy, which is correct. Also their first child Elizabeth was born in 1870, and this date also matches.

Thanks

Rob

Hi all,

Thanks for your help so far.

As you say Edward Hockworth is very elusive  ???

Ann Heatons parents appear to originate from Sandby (Bedfordshire) and Ann appears on the 1861 census as living in Leeds with her parents.

Hi all,

Need help!

I am trying to back-ground information on Edward Hockworth born in Bradford in 1844.

No records of him appear until the 1881 census, in which he is married to Ann Heaton (b 1851) and living in Leeds. This census records shows him as been born in Bradford. However there is no trace of him in the 1851, 1861 or 1871 census!!!

Edward and Ann had 5 children:

Elizabeth (1870)
Rebecca (1872)
Sarah (1875)
Edward (1882) - My G Grandfather
Ada (1887)

Any info would be very helpful.

Thanks

Rob

Hi William,

Harriet passed away in 1863. She had 3 children with Joseph Hall, Joseph (B 1848) Maria (B 1856) and John (B 1858) After Harriet's death Joseph went on to marry a Rose Broom.

Have you got back any further on Mountford's and Wright's?

Regards

Rob
