Canada Lookup Request / Long Family

A Gt Uncle of mine arrived at Quebec from Liverpool on the Montcalm 30th April 1927 - passenger lists state he & his Family were bound for Edmonton, Alberta.
I would appreciate any guidance on how to find out whether the Family did in fact make it to Edmonton and where they settled
Francis John Long (born 1885 Devon) Wife was Lily (born 1885 Derbyshire)
5 children; Wilfred, Reginald, Francis, Harold & Philip

Devon / LONG Family History -South Tawton Devon

Can anyone help me? I am trying to find out about Silvester Long who married a Mary Stoneman at S Tawton, Devon on 11 FEB 1728. Am trying to find out parentage - have tried many sites incl IGI can anyone offer suggestion where I might try next?

Having just seen your request for information re Baters & Scoins as I m related to both Families.
I did not realise another member/descendant of the Scoins Family emigrated to USA - if you see 1880 US Census there is a John Scoins who was born in Chulmleigh. I have him linked into my Husbands Family.
My Husband is connected to Baters through marriage (Kelland & Norman) whilst I have a direct line Gt Grandmother Betsey - who was born in Huntshaw in 1817 to a James & Grace.

Ive got a Simon Baker baptised 9 May 1803 Dolton who married Eleanor Cockwill 10 October 1831 Dowland. This Simon was one of nine children born to Richard & Mary (nee Balkwill) my direct ancestors -5x ggps. Would be very happy to exchange information!!!!!

Devon / Exeter Debtors Gaol

Thomas Tallyn (my 4xGGF) of Bratton Fleming/Stoke Rivers was sent to Exeters Debtors Gaol in 1815 (according to London Gazette). Where do I go for more information - the Record Office at Exeter
