Hi Carl,
Happy New Year to you - just wondering if you had any luck in finding out your ancestors via the DNA route, and discovering who was Wilfred Blackwell's father?
The 1921 census was released here in the UK yesterday so I have a bit more information for you - while my great grandfather (Robert Vaughan) was now living elsewhere with his sister's family, Elizabeth Blackwell was now married to John Morgan (married in Rhyl in 1915) and living with her children John Henry Blackwell (no Wilfred, but perhaps he was working/living elsewhere at age 16?); Florence Blackwell had died aged 10 in 1917; and there was another daughter Edith Mary Blackwell who had been born in 1911 (so at the time Robert Vaughan and Elizabeth were living together); and finally son Cornelius Morgan born in 1915.
So the question mark remains over who could be the father of Wilfred, Florence and now also Edith... possibly Robert Vaughan? Not sure if we'll ever find out!
All the best - JG
