I believe that makes us 3rd Cousins: Annie, Elizabeth Ann's sister, married John Henry Simmons, then down through their son Frank to my father Ian and so to me. I'll sort out what I have on the rest of the Hodges & Pugsleys.

Polly, just found your post: I'm descended from Henry and Sarah via their daughter Annie, who was my paternal Great Grandmother. Which one of their numerous children is your antecedent? I haven't verified much of the Hodge tree but I can pass on what I've got (mostly FreeCEN & FreeBMD). Sarah died in the March quarter 1920. Neil

Hi, thanks very much; I had William Clubbe identified but none of Jane's siblings nor any relatives further back, so a great deal of new information. My wife, Kim, is the grand-daughter of May Jones (nee White) and working back through the Jones side of the family is proving challenging. All family info would be very helpful, including any details of any living relatives, however far removed.
Cheers
Neil

Hi, apologies for delay in replying. I've got George & Frank White's details from CWG. George (7621 South Lancashire Regt) died 8/8/1915 in Mesopotamia, buried in Chatby Cemetery in Alexandria. Frank (2667 Cheshire Regt) died 2/7/1916 in Flanders, buried in Warlincourt Halte British Cemetery in Saulty. I have no information on Charles Henry except for the 1911 census which shows him living at home, but I assume he is the C H White died 29/4/1918 in Flanders (33613 Cheshire Regt) shown on the CWG site as being buried in Klein Vierstraat British Cemetery although I have no confirmation. I have all three as May's brothers; CWG states George and Frank are sons of William and Jane and the 1911 census shows Charles Henry is too. The White's are my wife's ancestors so if you could send me any information you have on them it would be much appreciated.
Thanks very much
Neil

Thanks to everyone. Bit more info to play with. I hope to work further back but I'm going to have to invest in some documentation.

Thanks all - definately the Police Constable in Birmingham! The 1901 & 1911 census go on to confirm the rest of the family as known.
