Thanks for that information Carole, it looks as though I can eliminate this family from my ongoing research into the Kingscot/t/e families.

Much Obliged, Artscot

Hello,

I hope some one can clarify this particular problem for me!
I have  checked out previous censuses (1881) But cannot find a connection to the baptism name of
William Gillard Kingscote the nearest I can get is from 1891
William Gerald Kingwell,
Parents names are similar!

Any help appreciated

Hello Carol,

Thanks very much for that info, I will forward it to my freind Geoff Dixon of Barry Island, who has been searching for some time now.

Hopefully it will lead him to Rippin in time.

Looking for any info on these two folks, were they brothers?

Details sofar ( unconfirmed ) Rippin c1768, David c1760, in or around Caythorp/Frieston area.

Some information about Rippin on the IGI, says he is on CD38 for ancestral files?

Any help appreciated.

Thank you Pritch19 for that information, more than I had before, after 30 odd years of searching.

I shall now attempt to find the right Emily Knight, she died in Abergavenny 1850.

Thanks muchly, artscot

Emily KNIGHT m. William KINGSCOTE c 1824, they had 2 children, Wm 1824 chr Nantyglo, and Louisa Knight Kingscote chr 1832, Abergavenny.

I have not been able to identify either Emilys' mar, or parents. Louisa m. James Greenland, no trace of brother Wm after 1851.

Any help appreciated, I have much information of the 'K' Lines.
