Other house history websites are available (as the BBC might say)

e.g.: http://www.hiddenhousehistory.co.uk/

 ;)

Pity that it only includes homes from the UK -- it's a gap we hope to fill.

Since it is probably a multi-unit dwelling, and a rental property, over time many other people have called it home. I am sure your research would be of interest to others whose relatives have lived therein.

Ancestral homes count - absolutely. This is the research that may be most interesting to others: old documents, images and data.

As well, for various reasons many of us are more comfortable recording data about homes from our past than those we live in now.

It would be great to see homes from England and Scotland added. Let me know if you have any problems using the site. We continue to test it and make improvements.

I thought you would be interested in a new website we have just launched: historyofhomesdotnet

While just in its infancy, the goal is to invite members to record the history of homes that are special to them, ultimately creating a concise history of houses around the world.

I invite you to add your historic homes. Membership is free!
