Devon / Births or baptisms before 1813 Plymouth area??
« on: Wednesday 24 October 12 11:56 BST (UK)  »
Hi All

I am trying to locate either the births or baptisms of my two ancestors from the Plymouth area without much success. I am looking for a William Allen McDonald born around 1805 in Plymouth and Elizabeth Worth also born about 1805 in Plymouth. Was hoping that I would be able to find something in the index sheets I ordered from the Devon FHS but these only go back to 1813.

Was kindly pointed in the right direction concerning their marriage which was in 1826 in East Stonehouse, would this marriage entry have any reference to their parents? If so I can order that from Devon FHS.

Can anyone help or point me in the direction where I can look?

Hi All

Looking for the marriage of William McDonald and Elizabeth. There first child was born in1826 in Plymouth so I am assuming they were married around this time also.

Any help much appreciated.

Hi All

Just some extra information regarding this look-up, I have got the birth certificate of Emma McDonald one of the families 13 children and my Great Great Grandmother. She was born in 1841 in Lower Compton her father was William Allan McDonald and her mother was Eliza McDonald formerly Worth or maybe North, hard to tell.

Any help appreciated

One last request for this one, just trying to make the most of such a brilliant day yesterday,

Would it be possible for someone to do an 1851 lookup for Thomas Turpin and his wife Susan to see if I can catch any other family members?

And also a 1841 lookup for George Green and Wife Ann, children William and Harriet,  was it unusual for George to have been a Hairdresser at that time?

Thanks
