Surrey Completed Look up Requests / Re: Farnham PR's

Hello Nell, many thanks for your reply, both of Mary Ann's parents were dead, her father in 1850 and her mother in 1866, however Mary Ann was born in Farnham as were her brothers who both stayed in Farnham for the rest of their lives and I know that her father's name was Thomas. There is a marriage to a James Pullinger 1870 reg. Farnham and this Mary Ann can be found with James in the following census still living in Farnham, but a contact is telling me that she is the Mary Ann Smith who married in Croydon in 1863 to a Frederick Giles amd according to the census she also was born in Farnham. I would just like to sort out which is mine, there is no naming patten to give me any clues, so I'm a bit stuck at the moment.

Kind regards, Brenda

Surrey Completed Look up Requests / Farnham PR's completed
« on: Sunday 05 July 09 08:38 BST (UK)  »
Hello, I'm hoping that someone may have access to the marriage PR's of Farnham. I have a problem with finding the marriage of my Mary Ann Smith as there are 6 marriages with that name in Farnham between
1861-1871, the father of the girl I'm looking for is Thomas Smith.
Free bmd lists the following-
Sept. qt.1863
Dec. qt. 1863
June qt. 1866
Dec. qt. 1868
Dec. qt. 1870
March qt. 1871

As I don't know the name of the man she married I can't be sure when I look at the census.

Crossing my fingers that someone may be able to help with my problem,

Kind regards, Brenda

I have found an ancestor who in the 1901 census is listed a Matron of the Wrotham Convalescent Home, Wrotham Hole. Kent. I'm hoping that someone may know what kind of convalescent home this was, any information would be gratefully received.

Crossing my fingers and toes, kind regards, Brenda
