My journey into what happened to my great Uncle, George Savage who was found drowned in North Island, New Zealand,
This has  been a tremendous journey, met so many fascinating people along the way..
It has been  a tremendous privilege to learn so much about George Savage..why he went to New Zealand, the life he was just beginning to forge. A gentleman held in high esteem. Such a tragedy that a young life ended this way.
I have both George Savage birth and death certificates, waiting on a copy of the inquest into my great Uncle..
I owe a huge debt of thanks to PapersPast, a tremendous archive of New Zealand's newspapers..an organisation run by three people.
To the many Roots members who have been a great help too.
There are so many people worthy of mention, the list is endless.
Just,' thank you' to you all,to Roots for your great organisation, thank you.
I now need time to get all my information in order ahead of my passing it on to Helsby,Cheshire archives. :)

I believe so...there is reference in the red book I  will be mailing tomorrow  morning. There is mention of Arthur  plus the two Male names you made reference to.

All  very fascinating information, Mike..

Huge  amounts of family history for you.

Great granddad worked on the quarry at the goods station yard, off loading  red stone on to railway wagons. Have history as to why the Cholmondeley estates workers were withdraw their labour from the quarry..

Good reading  :)
