Hi All,

I'm researching my Scottish family tree from here in the US.

My maternal grandfather was James Hutchison Milne 1907 - 1981.  His parents were James Milne poss. of Aberdeen, and Mary Jane McCabe poss of Dundee.

James 1907 married Elizabeth Williams Bryceland 1912 - 1954 on 24 Dec 1931 and proceeded to have many children, including my mother**.

Elizabeth Williams Bryceland was the daughter of Thomas Bryceland 1890 - 1946 and Elizabeth Williams Mooney 1890 - 1941.

I've been running into dead ends at my gg-grandparents.  Would love to learn more about the Milnes and Brycelands.

Cheers,
Greenock

Hi All,

I have loved reading all of your posts about the Connon family.  They certainly are turning out to be quite an interesting clan.

I'm researching the family tree of my adoptive father, and I learned recently (possibly from one of the RootsChat posters??) that my gg-grandfather, William, was the illegitimate son of William Connon, b.1814 and Sarah Esson.

I would love to know more about both Williams and Sarah Esson.  William b. 1862 emigrated to either Canada or the US, and ended up living in Wareham, MA, among other towns.  He married Elizabeth A. Hunter in and had the following children:
William Hunter Connon 1892 - 1957
James Esson Connon 1894 - 1995
Jessie H Connon 1895 - ?
Nellie E Connon 1901 - 1996
Charles John Connon 1903 - 1995

I haven't been able to raise any information about when he died.  He was alive in 1928, but not on the 1930 US Census

I haven't been able to find anything much on Sarah Esson, except that she appears to have had at least one other illegitimate child, John b. 1861 before she married William Rennie b. 1828.  Her parents were James and Mary.

I'd love to fill in the blanks if I can.

Cheers,
Greenrock
