Europe / Polish search for Snarski and Kupecki?
« on: Wednesday 08 August 12 13:10 BST (UK)  »
Could someone please tell me where I would start to search my ggggparents in Poland?
Peter Von Snarski was born approx 1837 to Roman Von Snarski and Anna Von Kupecki maybe in Warsaw  with perhaps royal connections and Roman could have been a Colonel in the Tsar's army. Just have no idea where to begin the search. Peter may have gone to university. Sorry I do not have much to go by. Any ideas on where to begin searching in Poland would be gratefully received. Thanks

Hi Dawn
Yes please.
You are right. Actually I havent been doing any FH for such a long time but a visit to London has spurred me on to continue once more.
If you are able to do this lookup it would be so greatly appreciated.
Thanking you

Ross & Cromarty / MacRae and MacDonald in Applecross
« on: Friday 13 April 07 12:06 BST (UK)  »
Hello
I am trying to find some information about Annie MacRae who married Alexander MacPherson in Applecross in 1820.

I believe that Annie MacRaes parents may have been John MacRae and Mary MacDonald. Annie was born around 1792.

Anyone think these names are familiar?

With thanks
Lyn

Berkshire Lookup Requests / Re: NEWMANN in Newbury 1841 & 51 please
« on: Wednesday 13 September 06 11:40 BST (UK)  »
Hi Emma
Thanks for those details.
They sound as though that could well be them. I am after  Catherine whom I believe was born in 1850 and that fits in with the Kates birthdate in 1851 census.

Thanking you. you have given me extra details to assist with my research and I really appreciate that.
