Denbighshire / Re: Henry Roberts=Sarah Williams

Thanks for your prompt reply.  From other bits of information I have, I think that Sarah's death would have been registered at St Asaph rather than Denbigh, but you never know.
I am new to this game and it hadn't occurred to me to contact the local Registry office.  I have looked at censuses then go then bought certificates when I was certain.  So thanks for that tip.  I'll maybe ring first then take a trip out to St Asaph and Denbigh rather than phone.   I live in Lancashire but any excuse to have a day out in God's own country!

Denbighshire / Henry Roberts=Sarah Williams

Hi,
I've just discovered this website today and registered - so this is my first post.  Apologies in advance for any clangers!
Henry Roberts is my great grandfather and was born at Henllan in Denbighshire in about 1830.  He became a senior policeman in Caernarvonshire and died at Pentraeth in 1913.  Is anyone else researching him?  I have a lot of information on him but every time I answer one question half a dozen others crop up!
I am specially interested at the moment in my great grandmother Sarah nee Williams from Llandulas.  They married on 23/11/1850 but I can find no trace after the birth of my grandfather John Caradog on 01/05/1857.  Henry was living at Henllan with his young sons and his mother at the time of the 1861 census and remarried on 18/12/1865, described as a widower on the marriage certificate.
Any help gratefully received!
