Staffordshire / John Cooper - Walsall
« on: Thursday 11 November 10 12:14 GMT (UK)  »
Hi does anyone know anything about John Cooper who was born in Walsall in 1834.  His father was also called John but I cannot seem to find anything more out about the family.  On the 1841 census there is a John Cooper born in approx 1834 with brother William (b.1829) and sister Elizabeth(b.1831) but I am not sure if this is the correct family.  John went on to marry Hannah Basford on the 7th June 1857 in the Parish Church of Handsworth.  I have also found a baptism record for a John Cooper dated 16th May 1834 at St Matthew, Walsall but I really would like to try to find out the names of his parents.  Can anyone help please?

Regards.

Hayley

Hi, my aunts and uncles were sent to a children's home in Poole around 1942/3 when their parents abandoned them.  I do not have the name of the home and wondered if anyone had any information on children's homes around that time.  Thanks in anticipation.  Hayley

Hi not sure if anyone can help but my grandmother was living at Frome Road House, Bath in 1934 when she got married.  This was in fact a workhouse and I wondered if anyone has a list of the inmates at the workhouse in 1934.  I also believe her first born could have been with her but not sure.  Any help would be much appreciated.  Thanks.  Hayley

Kildare / Hynan - Kilmeage, Kildare

Hi, I live in England and have been trying to trace my husband's grandfather for over 2 years now.  I now believe in was born in Kilmeage, although the surname looks as if it may have changed slightly.  The maiden name of my husband's mother was Hynon but I now believe it should have been Hynan.  I am trying to get information on the birth of Patrick Hynan born in 1904.  I have found an entry on the 1911 census which states his parents as Thomas and Katie Hynan.  Would anyone be so kind as to let me know how I go about searching for his birth index please.  It states the family were Roman Catholics and lived at 33 Allenwood, South Kilmeage, North Kildare.  I have no idea how to search for family in Ireland so would be really grateful for any help.  Thanks in advance.
