That sounds like the gentleman. I have never been able to find his place of work however this would make sense.

I wonder if the Margaret Evans you located is correct, thats one hell of an age gap marriage even now.

Hi All, thanks for all the responses thus far. To confirm, my GG grandfather John Williams was born in Narberth and moved to Slough Bucks. He was born in 1864 approx. I do have a copy of a Birth Certificate with his Mother listed as Margaret Williams but no Father listed. currently I am not convinced this is the same person. He was a Senior Railway official and he had 7 children on of which was my Grandpa George F Williams. Thanks for all your support so far

Good morning everyone and Merry Christmas. I am desperately trying to research my Great Great Grandfathers chain of Family and he was born in Narberth Pembrokshire in and about 1864. John Lewellyn Williams and he Married a lady name of Mary K Perrin. They had 8 children in total. They moved to Slough, Bucks because of the GWR i understand and he was promoted to a Senior Signalman and lived there until his death. I know nothing of my Dads side of the Family which is s shame as I am the last bloodline of the Williams ancestary and my Father died young. If any one could held and give me a thread to pull it would be much appreciated. Best wishes Martin Williams

Good afternoon Everyone, I am really sorry but I totally forgot i had started a thread here until recently watching a DNA documentary on TV.  Thank you all so much for your support thus far with all your knowledge and access to certain sites. My Great Grand Father John Williams did work on the GWR railway as a plate footman and his Wife Mary Perrin was indeed a dress maker. I understand that they may have had up to 7 or 8 children one of which being my Grand Father George Llewellyn Williams who was an Engineer born 13 Jan 1903 in Slough, Berks and his son, my Father John Llewellyn Williams born 26th Dec 1936 - died 7th Jan 2000. I would dearly love to find where my Great Grandfather and my Great Grandmother are buried because i assume it would have been in the Slough, Berkshire areas. Thanks everyone, Martin Williams
