I have an uncle John Camplin who died in WW1 he was born in 1894 in  Lincolnshire.  I have been on the CWGC site and found a record that could belong to him  but there is no date of birth or age but it does give a service number and battalion; is there anyway I can actually trace back and prove that this is him?

Thanks for reading!

Cambridgeshire Lookup Requests / EDWIN BARNARD 1901
« on: Thursday 12 May 05 20:32 BST (UK)  »
In the 1891 census Edwin (aged 36) was living in Ely, Cambridgeshire as 'Head' of the family his father had died and he was living with his mother and assorted relations.  I have been able to track the rest of the family in the 1901 census in various locations but can find no mention of Edwin.  From my research it would seem that up to  1889 he never married and I can find no mention of his death.

Can someone give me any clues as to where I can look next?

Thanks for reading!

Cambridgeshire Completed Lookups / 1871 CENSUS
« on: Monday 25 April 05 22:33 BST (UK)  »
I wonder if anyone would be kind enough to  look at the 1871 census for Alfred Barnard.  His father, mother and rest of the family are in the 1871 census in Ely, Cambridgeshire but there is no mention of Alfred he was born about 1850 in Cambridgeshire - I would be grateful for any information.

Many thanks

« on: Saturday 02 April 05 19:05 BST (UK)  »
Hi

Could someone please look up the barnard family in the above census - I feel sure that the family had one son Alfred Edgar Barnard (Ggrandfather) born in 1849/50 but would appreciate any further information on the rest of the family members at that time.

Thanks for reading this post!
