Aberdeenshire / Mormondside Farm Strichen

I would like to do some research into Mormondside Farmhouse which sits a couple of miles outside of Strichen on the edge of Mormondhill. Unsure if it remained in the same family until I bought the house in 2007 from Annie Milne. Locally it is well known, If anyone has any memories of the place or photographs please do get in touch.

Back in 2011 i noticed a post connected to the History of St Olafs children home in Kircaldy (East Albert Road), at the time I thought I had left a message for Kirsty Fairfull through another registered user of rootchat...I suspect the message was never received. I have memories of St Olafs as a very young child there in the late 60s, now as an adult who is about to turn 46 I am curious why I was placed in a children's home. Unfortunately my mother passed away 21 years ago and never mentioned the circumstances which led to my time at St Olafs. Kirsty if you are reading this message I would love to hear back from you, from photographs I hold, I stayed at St Olafs from 1968 (born Sep 67) to, I suspect the early 70s. As a child I was known as 'Jamie'.
