thanks for your time and interest.  the answers are most likely simple but i am new to tracing my roots and although joining RootsChat.com some time ago i am guilty of not being a regular user.
I have searched as far back to the 13/14oo's in parts of my ancesters so if i can be of any help to anyone, just ask.

I have just registered today so please be patient, computers and I do not relate?  My name is (*), born at Godolphin Cross, Helston , Cornwall.  My father was William John Martin of St. Just, Penwith and his father was John Henry Martin of Newbridge, Penzance.  I am researching my family history and at present have traced my family to Christopher Martin of Sancreed, St. Just in 1501.  Obviously the Martin family of Penwith is of great interest to me at this time, especially with all the 'name changes' from 1500 to the present?  What a shock it was to come across this title!!!! Wow!!!!
I do know my ancesters emigrated and have traced the ships they were on, but I would like very much to be in contact with decendants of the Martin/s family, however distant.  Penwith is the starting point for me at present and Towednack seems to be very impotant to the source of my family.
My Father is buried at Sancreed Church cemetry which is also important for my research.  Looking forward to my family's response.  Silverdean.

I was born at Godolphin Cross, the eldest son of William John Martin Of St. Just who was the eldest son of John Henry Martin of Newbridge.  I am researching my family and have, at present,  traced it back to Christopher Martin of Sancreed in 1501.  I have only now become a registered member 'rootschat'.  If I can be of assistance to any family member, please contact.  silverdean.
