Hi Bettye,
I have hit a brick wall with the Clarke Family in Northwich...have you had any luck with finding James Clark described as Haydealer on my Greatgrandparents marriage certificate in September 1853.
My maiden name was Clarke with an 'e' and I would love to find out more.
It doesn't help that the spelling changes does it??.

Any help or advice would be appreciated

Kind Regards
Ann Lambert nee Clarke

Hi David,
Thanks for all that information.....Ididnt see your message until after I replied to Rosie.
I dont think Ann Roberts had another christian name.
When Ann and Edwin married his occupation was Billiard Marker ...whatever that was and he must have taken on his Fatherinlaws trade of Butcher after their marriage.
I will get some of the b/certs and hope I have a breakthrough.
Thank you again

Hi Rosie,
Thank you for your reply.
Wm and Margaret Thomas might be relatives or friends of the Bride and Groom....but thanks for your help.
I keep hitting a brick wall with this side of the Family tree....Edwin Clarke (The Groom) was a puzzle until Rootschat members solved the mystery for me and now his wife Ann Roberts is proving difficult to trace too!!!(Ann doesnt appear to have a second christian name )
I will buy some of the birth certs and hope I am lucky!!!

Hi Everyone,
Sorry about the delay but I have been unable to post my reply...dont know what I have been doing wrong, so many apologies.
The witnesses were Wm Thomas and Margaret Thomas and the Bride and Grooms address is given as St Andrew St Liverpool.
I dont have access to 1911 census but couldnt find them in 1901 census.

Hello, I am trying to trace Ann Roberts who married Edwin Clarke in Liverpool in 1869.
I can trace her in the 1891 census but after that ....nothing.
I havent been able to find a birth record for her either!!
Her Father is shown as John Roberts  Occupation Butcher on her Marriage certificate on 28th February 1869 and it states that she is a minor......does that mean under 21 or 18????

Any help or advice would be much appreciated.Thank you
