Hi looking for help or advice, this is my first venture into military research.
My g.uncle Private Philip Mcinnes 1st/5th bn Argyll and Southern Highlanders sn S/25510 died of wounds 14th October 1918 France. I found he is remembered with honour at Tyne Cot memorial but not where he died or is buried. Any advice on how to search for these facts would be greatly appreciated.

Hi
Can anyone help? I'm trying to find information about my Great grandfather John William Noon. The only info I have is the following:
1906 Age 17 Trumpeter Royal Garrison Artillery based in Dunbar Scotland
1959 Died. Retired Gunner Royal Garrison Artillery
I am not sure of his dob but suspect 1888.
Any help would be very much appreciated.

Many thanks

Hi folks.
Just spotted your post and thought I chip in. Andrew Percy and Mary Crichton are my GGGG grandparents. I've been doing my tree on and off for the past 4 years or so and this is the first time I've come across anyone related to this line. I've come to a dead end on this line with Andrew as I can find no records of BDM for him. I did however find his grave in Mouswald and I could give you a picture if you like. Any help with either Andrew or Mary would be very helpful. I am descended from their son John who you have rightly found in stirling in 1901 where he lived with his son, daughter and granddaughter. He died there in December 1901.
Best Wishes

Just wondered if anyone knows where I can get details of burial records for Alva or Alloa in the early 1900's.

Cheers
