I am trying to confirm if the Bahia Castillo actually did sail to Australia when my great uncle Thomas said it did.Hi My name is Terry Eric Clive Mutter. My Grandmother sailed on this ship to Australia and i have a passenger list . If you get in touch i will show you . it did sale .
" I then departed England on December 4th 1920 bound for Australia on the SS Bahia Castillo. I went back to Glen Innes NSW for three months and returned to Sydney and have been here ever since."
Taken from Thomas's own diary.
The only listing for this ship, that I could find, was one to Melbourne and Thomas and his wife weren't listed on the passenger list, and it sailed in April not December as quoted.
I have trolled thru every onsite ,free and paid ,that has anything to do with shipping to Australia with no luck.
Any help appreciated.
Cheers Kevin
