Thats an intresting thought and one I had not considered.
So I did a marriage search and found Amelia  Johnson Married Ernest Smith 1900 west Ham. Look up both ways shows they definatley married each other W Ham 4a 233. But this marriage is before the childs birth? So I will see if perhaps he died? Or a very convenient coincidence.

Thanks for reply by the way.

1911 census shows that Joseph Johnson was a boarder with Rebecca  and Alfred Swann at 15 Albert Street New Street, Cambridge. Eliza his wife has now died Jan 1910. Record checks show that Rebecca Swann was Nee Johnson and the daughter of Joseph. As well as their own 4 daughters and (her Dad Joseph), Rebecca and Alfred had a nephew with them:  Ernest Steven Johnson, aged 3 born Woodford, Essex.
I am looking to find out more about Ernest Steven Johnson as this relative is currently missing from tree and likewise are any Johnsons in Essex. I cant find a birth for Ernest Steven Johnson in Woodford? Would like to get a Birth Cert to see who his parents where.
Does antone have any ideas or suggestions. Thanks in avance. Dennis Johnson
