Northumberland Lookup Requests / Re: Licensed victuallers
« on: Friday 26 August 11 10:35 BST (UK)  »
This might be of interest to you. I am looking for a George Wilkinson, licensed victualler who married Ellen Cunningham b. Belfast, Ireland they had a daughter Annie/Anna Wilkinson. She married Joseph Cooney and then married a William Walton and I have been looking at Williams  family as he is my non biological grt grandad. Today I have found out that Williams mum on 1901 census,  Isabella Walton, was living on Wesley Street, All Saints, Newcastle upon Tyne. When Annie married William in 1911 Annie's father George Wilkinson is deceased but was a Licensed Victualler and she is living at Liverpool Square. I have ordered the Victuallers record book to look for my licensed victualler and will look for yours and let you know.

Antrim / CUNNINGHAM, Belfast, Antrim
« on: Sunday 21 February 10 14:55 GMT (UK)  »
I am looking for info on JOHN CUNNINGHAM b.abt. 1808 in Co. Antrim, Ireland. He had a daughter Ellen Cunningham b.abt. 1832 in Belfast, Antrim, Ireland, possibly christened at St. Annes, Belfast. There is a possibility that John settled, either in Northumberland, England or Richmond, Australia. I have info on both. Who was John married to? He may have had another daughter called Charlotte ( recent info) We find his daughter Ellen in Durham, England on 17 July 1854 when she married George Wilkinson. Witnesses were William & Margaret Cunningham. Possibly her siblings or her brother and his wife? Any help much appreciated. Regards, Doreen.

Gloucestershire Lookup Requests / SARAH WOOD b.abt. 1807 Dursley
« on: Friday 21 April 06 18:58 BST (UK)  »
I am trying to find out if SARAH WOOD born about 1807 in Dursley, Gloucestershire is a relative of THOMAS WOOD born abt. 1807 Dursley ( my 3 x grt grandad) Thomas was married to Charlotte Hill (born 1807 Dursley) whose mum was Harriett Hill who  married Samuel Brown 18/6/1818 Dursley.

Charlotte had two sons prior to marrying Thomas Wood. They were John Hill chr. 4/1/1828 Dursley and Reuben Hill chr. 30/5/1824 Dursley (possibly illegitimate) Charlotte was also, possibly, illegitimate.

I would like to know anything about Thomas Wood: who his parents were ect.?

Any info much appreciated.

Nottinghamshire / Re: STEPHEN GODLEY
« on: Thursday 05 January 06 20:46 GMT (UK)  »
UPDATE: Now know that my Louisa Godley's father was Stephen Godley not William as previously thought. This info came from a will made by Stephen in 1880 where he left his daughter Louisa Hayes nee Godley some money. The Godley's and the Hayes families were living on Montford Road, Sheffield, at the time. Louisa Godley (b. 1877/78) married Jospeh Hayes ( b. 27/11/1875) They married on 6/6/1897 at the parish church, Wicker, Sheffield.

Still trying to find out if Stephen was born in Derbys or Notts.
