I was wondering if someone could help locate the above brothers in 1841 Census. Their parents were Samuel and Mary (Colesby) Burgess.

James Burgess was Bapt. 19/11/1820 at Rugeley Staffordshire. He was living at Bell Barn Rd Birmingham on 31/10/1849 when he married Sarah Abbott at St Martins Birmingham. In 1851 Census he is living with Sarah and Frank 8mths.

Samuel Burgess was Bapt. 19/5/1823 Rugeley Staffordshire. He was living in Birmingham on 28/4/1846 when he married Sarah Collins at Parish Church Aston Warwick. In 1851 he is living in Birmingham with Sarah and William 3 b London Middlesex and James 1 b London Middlesex.

George Burgess was Bapt. 8/6/1828 Rugeley Staffordshire. He was living in Edgbaston on 12/8/1850 when he married Sarah Collins at Parish Church Edgbaston Warwick. Unable to find family in 1851 but would have had Sarah and William b1850 Birmingham with him .In 1861 he is living in Derby Derbyshire with Sarah and six children.

Walter F Downie who married Elizabeth J Trewenack was William Downie's son(Thomas/Theresa grandson)It is interesting that William called his first son Henry Benjamin and second son Walter Frank but not Thomas. As Thomas was 37 and Theresa 29 when Mary Ann was born it is possible that other children may have been born in Ireland and not survived.Another thought is that either or both Thomas and Theresa had been married previously.A mystery. Thanks again Djde

Thomas and Theresa Downie/Downey arrived in Van Diemans Land (Tasmania) with 2 children in 1832 on the ship Wellington and moved to Victoria abt 1839.I am trying to identify the names of their children.Thomas Downie died in 1843 Geelong age 51 (only burial record held).Theresa Downie died in 1860 age 59 in Geelong and two children MaryAnn Howell(nee Downie) 31 and William Downie 28 (both born Ireland)are still living and four children are deceased.Theresa's father was Benjamin Healy/Healey and mothers name unknown.Hoping the other children can be identified as their names may help identify Thomas parents. Thanks Djde
