i to have many family members buried at eastwood church.
its worth knowing also that the some of the ''webbs''changed their name to bibby/biby back in early 1900's so you may want to look under that name as well.
the phone book may be of help as there are still alot of bibbys in this area.

happy hunting
amanda

hi, just wondered if you know more about the name change.  i heard that one of the webb brothers change his name to bibby, for what reason, do you know??

Travelling People / Re: Bibby Bros Circus
« on: Friday 12 August 11 22:43 BST (UK)  »
Several Bibby families were living in caravans around Essex and were described as 'Travellers' and 'Licensed Hawkers'. Some of them also appear to have been in the circus trade. Their caravans were variously sited at Ilford, Shenfield, Prittlewell, Luton, Chelmsford, Harlow, Epping, Danbury, Hertfordshire and in a forest near Romford.
They all seem to be descended from John Bibby 1794 of Chelmsford, Essex. John was a shoemaker in 1841 and a poultry dealer in 1851. His son Charles Bibby, born about 1837, became a steam circus owner by 1901. Another son George Walter Bibby was a horse dealer in 1881.
I have a family tree if you are interested but it doesn't include any of the names that you mention.

Hello
Just wondered if i could get a look at your family tree please.
Cheers
