Hi Island Lass! Have been looking for Angus for a long time now!! I have just been in touch with Hugh's granddaughter (Thanks to this site!) and just today confirmed that he is brother to my great grandmother Christina (Tina Belle) MacIntyre McClinton and i can also confirm that your Angus is their brother as well(I just found his birth record on Scotland's People and all info you have posted matches!) McPhail was his mothers maiden name..Did he by chance have a son Peter?( My mother and aunts talked about my grandmas cousin Peter and possibly a Doris? visiting them in Ohio in maybe the 60's...) I have a little on the family and i as well as(im sure) Hugh's granddaughter would love to corrospond! (P.S. finding all this info in one day has my head spinning!! Have been working on the MacIntyres for years :)

Hi there! Yes it seems like maybe Hugh might be the brother of my great grandmother Christina (Tina Bell) Isabella MacIntyre McClinton :) She left Scotland in 1922 and headed to Canada where a sister Hannah was living. Winnipeg is where they lived for a few years(and my grandmother was born) before heading to Brooklyn where Tina died from cancer in her 40's. I have some info on this family that i would be happy to share to see if we can place your Hugh in this MacIntyre family! Where did your Hugh end up? I do know there was another uncle Angus that visited my grandmothers family in Ohio in the 60's...Peter MacIntyre and Christina McPhail were their parents..Let me know how i can help!...Jodi

Down / Re: McClinton/McClintock family, Ireland to Scotland
« on: Thursday 20 December 12 13:09 GMT (UK)  »
Hello!(and Happy Holidays to all reading :)) So far i have not found anything for McClinton's in Ireland except the death records that state my gg-grandfather William McClinton was born Ireland. Certain records from his children show Belfast other records just state Down. It has been extremely hard getting past Robert(William's father) McClinton..Other connections would be John McClinton(brother of William) who also lived in the Stoneykirk? area. I have some info posted on my online family tree if you would like to compare? Best wishes,Jodi

Hello! I just downloaded the request for photocopies form through the Family Search/LDS website and was able to request copies for death records in Kings County,Ny..as long as you have film number(which the record from Italian genweb shows) then you should be able to request the copy through the mail with a money order(may take longer, but it is cheaper and you avoid using credit card online) there is also a site(use google search for help ordering lds photocopies) that has all the answers for help in placing your order..(site is Cohen's genealogy site at Rootsweb) hope this info helps...Jodi

Canada Lookup Request / Re: What happened to great-great aunt Hannah?

I would really like to thank you both for the info you have provided. The voter list confirmed that it was my Hannah and also listed a son i didnt know about(Robert Gorman, which was Hannah's first husbands last name).. I know it is alot to ask but could you look for any mention of Robert Gorman(born abt. 1914 in Scotland) in the newspaper mentioned. He lived with Hannah and Samuel in 1935 according to the voter's list.. I now have a new mystery with DAD&DOUG! And yes my grandmother passed a few years back so i guess my mother will be putting in a order soon.. Thank you both again, much appreciated! Jodi
