Hi Footprint,
Have just seen the photos that you posted, they are great. Can you tell me where you fit into the Dickinson family as my sister in law is a descendant from the people in your photos?.
Regards,
Rosjan.

Hi Trish and all the others who have come up with information regarding Charles Edward Dickinson and his wife Tamar Vickers, thank you all very much.
I checked the New Zealand BDM and yes Charles and Tamar did marry there. Tamar Vickers arrived in New Zealand onboard the Langstone in 1883 from London she travelled as a steerage passenger.
Charles died in 1929 in Sydney Australia and is buried in Rookwood Cemetery in a paupers grave.
Any more info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all again.
Regards,
Rosjan.

Hi Kenneth,
Noticed your post regarding James Brown and Ellen McCluskey. I haven't really done any research on their family so I probably can't be of much assistance to you. Regarding the Cosgrove name I haven't came across it in the Brown family at all at this stage.
Regards and good luck in your research and if I find out anything I will contact you.
Rosjan.

Thankyou all for your interest and advise it's very much appreciated.
As it turns out after having the Ancestry DNA test done, my brother also had his done as well, and it turns out, to cut a long story short our grandmother had an affair and our fathers father is not the  father of our father so instead of coming down from William Horatio Brown and Susannah Dubock we come down from a Michael Patrick Ryan and Sarah Ogden through their son Bertram, Bertram had the affair with our grandmother and our father was the result. So all very interesting and we have met our new family, which went well.
Thankyou all again,
Rosjan.

Lancashire / Ancestry DNA and Goodall Family
« on: Friday 23 February 18 03:55 GMT (UK)  »
Hi Everyone,
Maybe some one can help me. Has anyone that is descendant from James Scholes Goodall born Manchester 1825 died Cheetham 1880, he married Mary Beech 1854 Altrincham 1854 had their Ancestry DNA done and if so I would like to be in touch. I am descendant from their son William Born 1863 Rusholme died New South Wales Australia 1916.
I'd be very grateful for any help. The reason I'm asking is William did not marry the woman he was with and supposedly had two children by, one of whom is my Grandfather, there was no father mentioned on any of the children's birth certificates so there is some doubt as to whether William Goodall is the father.
Regards,
Rosjan.

Hi everyone,
Thank you for your help. It's beginning to look like that the DNA says one thing and the paper trail says another. At the moment the evidence is going the DNA way. Interesting times to come.
Thankyou all again.

Rosjan.

Hi everyone,
Has anyone had their DNA done on Ancestry from the family of William Horatio Brown and his wife Susannah Dubock. I had mine done together with my brother and grandson. We now have a paper trail that says we come down from William's son William Francis Dubock Brown, and a DNA result that doesn't link us to that brown or Dubock family. What it does seem to indicate is that there was an issue at grandparent level. All BDM records appear as normal, yet DNA links us to a possible 2nd cousin who we have been in touch with and that contact is looking very promising, she comes down through a totally different family by the name of Ryan, all lived in the same area at the right time. Anyone have any suggestions or had their DNA done that linked them to the Brown Dubock family.
Regards,
Rosjan.
