Hi Celia, thankyou for your reply. I have decided today that it is pointless continuing this research as my friend is not computer literate and she is about to leave on a three month holiday. Sorry you have wasted your time but many thanks anyway,  Gwen

I was inquiring on behalf of a friend, having coffee with her tomorrow and will tell you answered my query.  We live in the Latrobe Valley, I realise there may be a few connections around Camperdown, I lived in Terang years ago.   Gwen

I wonder if any kind soul would be able to find how many children Abedi Michael  Bourke ( or sometimes Michael Abedi Bourke ) and his wife Annie Stewart Colcott had. I think they lived in Terang Victoria.  Thanks,,  Gwen

Lancashire Completed Lookup Requests / Re: Kirwan/mcdonough

Thankyou everyone for your help, much of the info matches, some dates do not, but maybe ages on census are not always spot on.
From what i have gained from this query. Hyperthetically the following maybe my Mary:=

My Mary Lacy, b Ireland 1838 to Roger and Elinor/Ellen,
m1 Edward McDonough 1858 he died 1859, they had a dau Mary Ellen/Ellen b 1859,
m2 Dennis Kirwin 1864, Mary posssibly died in 1867
!871 census Dennis Kirwin and his step dau , Mary Ellen/Ellen were staying with his BIL John Lacey, there is no mention of his wife Mary.

I don'y know who Mary Doyle is as Mary and John Lacy's parents were Roger and Elinor/Helen Lacy.
The up shot of all this is Mary's dau Ellen McDonough came to Australia ca 1871, stayed with her Aunt Jane and later m William Justin - they were my husband's great grand parents. Thanks again everyone, Cheers from Austraila  -40 deg here today a good time to stay inside and do some research.
